Whatsup everyone just want to see if I can get some good advice real quick. I dislocated my shoulder about 13 times in Afghanistan and the last few dislocations were from the simplest movements meaning it just got easier for it to fall out. Anyways I'm back in the states now gona go get another MRI since the first one was "inconclusive". My shoulder always feels weird a little pain and I think it might be because I Have been babying in since I have been back. What do you all suggest to do for some physical therapy or starting out in the gym again. Is that the answer getting back in the gym? Or should I wait for another MRI?

Buddy of mine has the same thing, he can just go reach to grab a drink or his phone and his shoulder will just pop out lol. Nothing will help until you get everything tightened back up, your ligaments are probably all stretched and loose, which is why your shoulder just falls out. No point in trying to lift weights now and make everything worse. Get it fixed right, you will be glad. Shoulders aren't something to mess with.

Thanks all I figured that much I will wait to see what the Doc has ordered and hopefully I recover quick if I need surgery so I can hit it hard again. Just going to do some light training in the gym and some physical therapy to help strengthen the muscles around the joint. Thanks again.

Thank you for your service..

I wouldn't even push your luck with it by doing anything that involves your shoulders in the gym right now. You may be lucky and the doctors can fix you with minimal work, but if you do something and tear it up worse then you will only be kicking yourself in the ass. Wait until the doctor tells you what he thinks, they do know what they are talking about most of the time lol

I have had a few shoulder injuries. One had left one of my shoulders unstable. It would just come right out of the socket from doing things as little as steering my truck. Physical therapy was a huge help in making it stable once again. Even though I have reinjured that same shoulder it has never become unstable again. My rotator cuff was partially torn at that time.
