Hey guys,
someone told me once that it is not good to sleep after workouts or take naps throughout the day. I was just wondering if this is true, does it have an affect on your gains?

Thanks,
Danny

Rest is a good thing. You should eat well in the hours after a workout though.

the three hours post workout is import that u get good proteins in and everything else for that matter.
Although i see it like this. training, diet and sleep is the keys to building a good body, if one lacks u wont grow as much.

I think if you were to take a post workout shake with about 50g's protein and take a 2 hour nap until your next meal could be beneficial. As long as it doesn't mess up your regular sleep so you still get at least 7 hours + the 2 hours.

Very often during weekdays, I take a nap before my workout. I'm trying to grasp the method of "powernapping", but for now I usually tend to sleep for about an hour before. They work very well for me, and I always feel much more energized afterwards.

I would love to nap but it doesnt work out well for me. If I go to sleep for even an hour, im lazy and grogy for the rest of the day. I dont know what it is with me but it takes me a good 6 hours before Im really totally fully awake. Otherwise Im in a slight daze. I dont have any condition though. My sleep habits are fine. I get 8-9 hours of sleep ED.

I have the most messed up sleeping schedule in the world. If you put in the work at the gym and take your protein and supplements within that 1 hour window directly after your workout, then you can nap all you want.
