You can learn a lot by reading the stickies, that's a great place to start.
 
So i hv been surfing around.... it seems difficult to weigh fact and opinion on here.... my brain is slightly over loaded. How do you guys determine what's legit and what's b.s?

What in particular are you trying to figure out? members will call each other on bad info here but they do it in a respectful way. reading through an entire thread will usually paint a fairly accurate picture.
