Soreness/pain in lower back wont go away

Hello all.

Im hoping I can get some advice from experienced bodybuilders.

I started my first cycle with a friend nearly 3 weeks ago. We are doing test C + dbol(4 weeks)

2 weeks ago after doing deadlift Ive had a lot of soreness in my lower back and it just wont go away. It seems recovery has been SLOWER rather than quicker while on cycle. Every time I lift heavy objects such as plates or do exercises like barbell row, squats etc I need a longer break because my lower back is hurting.

When I go grocery shopping after walking around for a while my lower back hurts as well. This is really hurting my progress in the gym. Ive stopped doing deadlifts now for 2 weeks to try and get rid of the pain.

Ive gone from 162lb to 183lb in the last 3 weeks. I dont know if its all this extra weight is making it harder for my lower back to recover.

Please advise.

i have the same problem sometimes,i quit deadlifting a long time ago because of this, its probably your core strength, lower your weight on your BB rows for a while, and start doing alot of back extentions if they dont start the pain, sit in i warm tub of water at night will help,if its not a disc problem,if its like mine you keep pulling the same muscle all the time, its a pain in the ass sometimes, you might also skip back workouts for a couple of weeks to let it heal some

brother I've been training around a bad lower back and a bad shoulder for years. from what you said your problem sounds like it may be two fold. bullseye mentioned you might be pulling the same muscles over and over basically, which could very well be part of it.
the other thing is, have you read any of the D-Bol threads regarding dull back pain. it starts very soon after you start D-Bol, and causes a dull ache, almost what I would describe as a near Charlie horse in the lower back, kind of even into the hip area. nobody seems to know exactly what causes it, but could be as I think bullseye also mentioned extra weight, which I think puts some pressure on your lower lumbar region, and causes the ache. fuck, I have to take breaks from mowing the lawn mine got so bad, and stretching it out helped. standing around or in the grocery store i literally had to bend over and do stretches, so I let on I was tying my shoes....lol
there are threads on here about D-Bol back pumps if you look back through, there's lots about the topic. even fucks up guys squats and deads, which I can no longer do. hope this helps. good luck

Ok, I didnt know about the dbol back pumps.

Starting week 4 now. Do you guys recommend just stopping using dbol a week earlier than planned? Im going to up the dose of test C anyways from 500mg a week to 600mg. Thoughts?

that's up to you man but it comes with the territory with D-Bol usually. I'm sure a few may get away without them, but not many. not sure what you said you had gained for weight or water retention, but you may be stuck with them even stopping the Bol. I have actually gotten similar back pumps as most call them, on a test cycle where I gained a fair amount of size.
just a side note but the D-Bol I was running even gave me shin splints to go with the back pumps. obviously weight gain related. D-Bol does work well though if you can take those back pumps. so think it over before dropping them.

the back pumps just make me somewhat miserable and feel disabled to be honest. I also dont feel like I put as much effort into my lifts because I have to rest my back after each set.

So are you saying that the back pumps wont go away even if i stop taking the dbol? What will fix it then?

no, I didn't say that....lol I said you might be stuck with them, depending on water retention, weight gain. you may lose some water that might take them away if you drop the D-Bol. seriously, search back through the anabolic forum and look for threads dealing with those back pumps as they call them.you won't have to look very far. some guys had a hard time and had to rest laying down between squats and deads because of them. read back when you have some time.

back pumps are just that, a pump in your back. feels great when you lift and get that pump in your biceps or chest, but back pumps fucking suck. when you're on cycle, and especially dbol, you'll get these things just from bending over. think about it your core is constantly working. i would continue the dbol if you only have a few days or so left, i don't think getting off early will help all that much. shit man i got mild back pumps from a test only cycle, and it was bad when driving for ten hours. nothing as bad as yours is though i'm sure. wish i could tell you something that could help but i don't know. maybe try some yoga and some good stretches, hot baths, lower back massages. watch your sodium intake and drink plenty of water. if it bothers you that much then stay away from things that aggrivate it for now. i mean it's not like you're training for a meet or something right? fuck it, don't do deads or bent over rows for a couple weeks and rest it. good luck bro

Supplementing with taurine really helped me with back pumps I experienced on d-bol. Try 5-10 grams a day for a couple of weeks and see if it makes a difference. It did for me.

i totally forgot about this, very effective. or you could chug a monster everyday, loaded with taurine. j/k i don't recommend that, although i do love my monster. the taurine and b vitamins are my excuse to drink one everday:evil:

Dbol gives me terrible back pumps and even worse shin splints just from walking. I find jumping into the freezing cold plunge pool at my gym helps. I just float around in there like a jellyfish eyeing up the women for 5-10mins so the muscles just go numb from the cold. even when im not on dbol i do this after every workout.

get ur kidneys/liver checked . i had a similiar thing the few times i dabbled in dbolts. wont use them ever again .

hey guys, just wanted to give an udpate. Well after being off dbol for about 2 weeks, the back pumps went away. slowly but surely everyday they got easier to deal with untill I could finally do deadlifts after about a months break.
Im upped my Test C dosage to 600mg/week. Water retention has gone down as well.

Thanks all for the advice.
