The problem is I feel I know more than these Doctors Do. First they put me on 200mg test eow and I explained why that wouldn't work. Then they told me hcg had never been proven to work and when I'm ready to have another kid just go see a urologist or a fertility Dr. Thanks Doc......

I got the same advice but it was from my gp.
Just take it in one ear and out the other.
HCG is proven to raise sperm count.
I have the SA labs to show....lol

I'm a little confused. In the "ask anything" thread you said that my dose of 500iu 3x/wk was a hefty dose, but it doesn't sound too far off from the doses you mentioned above.

Is it just a simple case of "everybody is different"?

People seem to say that the dose my doctor suggested will lead to E2 issues, but it's only 300iu/wk higher than the minimum accepted dose to remain fertile?

What am I missing here?

I won't dose HCG in that dosage strength/frequency while on TRT. I've used 500 I.u 3 times a week as a mono protocol.
I found it to be too much while on TRT. Lowered my dose from 500 I.u E3D to 350 iu E3D.
It does raise estro and epinephrine from the adrenals. Keep in mind.

I got a semen analysis abd the HCG seems to be working. I don't have high high levels but I'm at 15million/ml. And sperm motility is kinda low but this I'd to be expected.Before I added hcg to my trt I was at 5 million. My question is I take 400iu 2x week. Do I continuously take the hcg or are done of you guys taking breaks from it. I know the lydeg cells can become desensitized.

1500 iu 3 times a week would mean you take 4500 iu/week.

I have seen Sccally and Crisler both say 1000iu's or less/week will not result in desensitization. Scally is more the 2x/week at 250-500iu/dose and Crisler is now for the 100iu/day protocol. Either way if your under 1000iu's/week I dont think desensitization is an issue. That being said I dont think guys that take a break every now and then are doing anything wrong either. Case by case man.

That is correct. Each injection is 1500 EOD.

I stopped my usual TRT protocol whist using the HCG. I'm using it for fertility reasons.

I have has test levels checked the morning after an injection and they slightly above normal, but not enough to alarm my DR. She just said öh that's a little high"

@ Whitedog, as a fellow Aussie I'm assuming your using the Pregnyl 1500 glass amps too? Man I hate those little fuckers, I always used to cut myself on them so now I have resorted to wearing rubber dishwashing gloves to break the tops off.

LOL... I haven't cut myself yet... I always get a clean snap.

Yes... i have the 1500 Pregnyl ampules. they come in a box of 3.

To confuse things a little further - I am seeing results with just 50iu of HCG EOD. Balls are starting to perk back up. Also get semen analysis done every month or two so I will have the proof at some point. Might slowly progress it up to 100iu EOD... still well below what most guys use.

250iu twice a week was way too much for me.

I do it for three reasons -

1) Already inject T EOD so I just add some HCG to the same syringe
2) The larger quantities gave me major side effects. I am hoping smaller, more freq injections helps with this
3) When I was trying larger doses at twice a week, my nuts ached the day before my next shot. Figured maybe they wanted it more often... but that's just my personal bro science

HCG only has a half life of 2 days, so it is out of the system quite quickly, hence my protocol being EOD.
