Squat failure today.....

Today was leg day, and for some reason I couldn't squat worth a shit. Squats, Box squats, leg presses, calf work, and good mornings. I could barely get 65% of my 1RM on squat...... my hips were killing me for some reason. I have never had hip problems before. I tried widening my stance, turning my feet out more, and narrowing my stance. Nothing worked. Anyone else ever experience this? Last week I was doing 85% of 1RM on the last set, but something was wrong this morning. Everything else was ok. Leg press, good mornings......just not squats or box squats. Think it was overtraining last week? Just curious if there are any suggestions. Thanks.

could be overtraining, lack of food, or lack of sleep....dont sweat it, youll bounce back once the problem is fixed. if youve been training hard for some time, its always ok to take a break
 
I sure hope I bounce back. I did cardio for the first time in 2 weeks on Saturday. Just walking though. Maybe that screwed me. Just don't know why my hips were hurting so bad. Kind of funny. But, we'll see next monday. Thanks for all the input.

Good point. Could you explain a littl emore though. I always do cardio after each workout. Should I not be doing this after working my legs ?
 
I thinkk we all have had like yours bro, could be lack of sleep, sleep deprivation can really affect your performance.
 
Hit up a chiropractor. Explain the pain, might be SI joint pain. I get pain in my hips with dead lifts as well. Thought it was my hips until the chiro worked my SI made a huge difference.
