Super awesome homeade skin scrub

I thought I'd share this really simple recipe to make an amazing homeade exfoliating and hydrating skin scrub. I know there's no miracle to get rid of stretch marks or whatever, but it's hard to argue that exfoliated, hydrated skin looks and feels so much healthier.

I mix this up in a gladware plastic container and keep it in the shower. It won't spoil because all ingredients are room temp.

Base:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (you can add extra, but I prefer a less oily feel)

Optional additions:
6 capsules vitamin E (snip off end and squeezd out oil)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pure shea butter 1/8 cup

Just rub on with your fingertips and then rinse off. Pat dry and use your favorite lotion if needed.
Super cheap and makes your skin feel like you've done a major spa treatment.
You may have to mix with your fingers every once in a while as the olive oil will eventually settle to the bottom.
Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this! I have a "friend" who is going to try it out. I, cough** I mean she, likes to take care of her skin :)

I hope your "friend" likes it lol. My hubby uses it all the time. Very simple and doesn't have fragrance so you won't end up smelling like a feild of lilacs or whatever. Awesome for the cold, dry climates :).

My friends give me a lot of lip about some of the products I use that they will spot around my home :)

In the end they are 50 and look 55 and I'm almost 50 and hopefully still passing for mid 30's. Using HGH since the early 90's is probably the thing i credit most but I have retinol cream and all sorts of things here lol

This sound awesome ! I love skin scrubs, like the idea of adding the vanilla..
Thanks so much for sharing :)

Gonna do this right now before my shower. Very similar to something I've done before, but put a few essential oils in it too. This has reminded me to revive this kind of treatment ;)

As zeek stated above I have a friend that's gonna try this as well lol. I happened to be blessed with very smooth skin. Chicks ask me what I use all the time. Lol

Detour- I'm an essential oil fan myself. I just wanted to post up a basic simple recipe that most will have the ingredients on hand to make. I tend to have expensive taste in essential oils (the base is the cheap part lol).
