Trt advice please!!!!!!!!

So I am ready to try Testosterone. Been working out for years and decided at age 43 it's time to level the playin g field. Went to the doc and fill labs done, everything came back normal(urine, prostate, Blood, etc) but my Tes was 122L. So the doc prescribed 200mg1ml Testosterone Cypionate for three months(once a month) and then reeavalute at the third month. My question is, isn't that a low dosage to be starting out with? I am still liftinmg and trying to get lean muscle mass as well as keeping the woodie going.

you can waste time and do what your DR says or find another DR that knows what he is doing with TRT....google compounding pharmacy in your area..call them and they will recommend a dr in your area that is more in line with a better testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program..I started with family Dr and wasted three years..started with Test gel..went to Test Cyp once a month then twice a month but he would go beyond that..my new dr went to weekly injections AND...let my wife do the injections..shes a LPN..my former dr wouldnt allow my wife to do them...but I think it was more for ..he wanted the office visit co pay and insurance payment for each injection...

My dr did the same thing! Gel, then tried to get me to come into the office once a month! Needless to say she isn't my doctor anymore.

I figaured something was wrong with this picture. I am thinking I need 200mg 2ml a week probably

I just started taking 100 mg (1/2 ml) twice a week instead of the 200 mg (1 ml) once a week. After one shot of 200 mg, I noticed a substantial drop in energy and mood after 4 days. It may have been in my head, but too many people onthis site concurred for it to be mental.

Yes they do this so they can bill for the service, its about making more money.

Testosterone sales have tripled to 1.6 billion over the last 3 years and are expected to hit 5 billion by 2017. Does everyone that has their insurance cover there testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) think they won't end up paying for those meds? Surely insurance companies are not going to foot the bill for a chronic condition that requires long term treatment with speciality medications.

Insurance is not always the best way to go, when you go that route you get a basic program and risk your premiums increasing.

200mg's a month & you'll be draggin ass severely by the time for next inject. I used to inject 200mg's once a week & by the end of the week I'd be worn slick..decided to split the dosage into twice a week 100mg's mon...100mg's thurs & so far it has worked out great. It seems the gel may aromitize quickly than the injections & who knows, maybe on that short time that u were on the cream your e2 levels may have gotten out of whack. Best way 2 figure it out is to have some blood work done & go from there, guessing if you have high or low e2 levels w/o proper blood work is a shitty idea. Wishing u much success in dialing in the best protocol for you & it can be tricky, but when it's right it's fucking right!!..***Just noticed you were never prescribed the gel ( reading is fundamental).. disregard my previous ramblings about the use of creams***

BTW, in the US only a US registered MD can Rx a LEGAL Rx.
I checked....so any other non-US "MD" Rx shipped from a non-US pharmacy is as illega as a neom@ds.com order ;)
I'm sure ur local District Court won't care if ur ignorant to their laws either...
