The Importance of Maintaining Size

Many guys either do cycles and lose a LOT of mass at cycle end, or do SHORT cycles, or do mass phases backed right up to cutting cycles that because of their lack of knowledge about how to cut end up losing muscle. One of the most important things you can do in your quest to add and keep mass is making sure that you maintain newly acquired muscle for the longest time possible. Going up ten lb lean mass and then losing 5 sends the wrong signal to your body. The longer you hold onto muscle the more your body will tend to believe that is your “new” weight and you are more likely to keep that muscle even when dieting, missing training due to injury, or when training non-optimally.

That is one of the prime reasons long cycles, and/or long mass periods (lean mass not get fat diets) are better than constantly yo-yoing like so many do.

I second that from my own experience. By working hard to keep the gains I make, my natural equilibrium has increased so that my body is "used to" the size I am and I can keep it without too much effort - whereas I used to have to train hard and eat non-stop just to maintain my weight. Good post as always.

so just bulking up and not getting over 12 % bf then doing a mini cut 4 weeks or so then bulking up again. I think iron addict you stated that that is the best way to stay looking good year round and being able to bulk up nicely.

What is your take on mini cuts....i see guys who say they want to loose weight in the abs area and i cant explain to them that yuo have ot loose weight overall and that means having your diet on point and doing cardio..
bUt then again no on wants to hear that tney want to hear that you do lots of crunches and that will burn tha fat lol.

Once again GREAT POST

IT makes sense that you want to maintain weight after a bulking cycle...but supposing you want to bulk up and you are already at a bf higher than you want to end up at...but you are too small to cut ...and you want to gain new muscle then strip off the fat...it would then make sense to bulk up as clean as possible...then after the cycle...take low dose of t3 combined with cardio, clen, tren and winstrol in order to lean out and even gain new muscle while losing bf. Am I off base??

I personally wont touch Winstrol (winny) because of what it does to HDL, thats a personal choice though. Cholesterol is already a battle just doing other steroids.

I also wont run cycles without testosterone. Tren is also pretty damn amazing. I prefer T3 to clen, partly because of tissue necrosis attributed to clen (in the heart). I can handle up to 200mg though in a sitting, I run it only once a day. Too close to the workout and it ruins it.

for starters if you not advanced enough to cut cause you too skinny then tren/t3/winny/clen shouldnt even be considered.

Hey buddy it was just a question...don't assume that im SKINNY because I feel like I don't have enough to cut down right now and still be as big as I would like to be. I'm 5'9 200lbs. at around 10%bf...FYI...I have done 2 cycles...the first consisting of test...and the second a low dose of Tren EOD...But it is debatable whether you really gain more muscle from TESTOSTERONE than from compounds like EQ...Most the guys that amp up on test become bloated...and lose most of their gains even after PCT. .because after they lose all that water bloat they gain about as much quality muscle as they would on deca. Unless they ran an anti e but then again why go through that to keep water down when you could take some thing less androgenic...The whole point of my post was...figuring out if it would be tougher to maintain muscle on various compounds when trying to lean out right after a bulking cycle...thanks for answering my questions.
