The use of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) whilst on TRT

I refuse to run trt without an HCG protocol implemented. As most of you, I had a terrible time finding an endo that knew much of anything when it came to their "specialty". If I don't run HCG, I get this terrible dull pain associated with the atrophying of my testicles. Not having the scrotum of an 8 year old boy is just a plus :)

I'm going to try it out in a few months, as it provides an analog (artificial, but similar) LH signal to the LH receptors in the body. As the human body relies on this LH signal to trigger other hormone releases such as DHEA and pregnenolone, it may be beneficial to add this to your protocol. I'm going to ask my doctor AGAIN first, and if he still refuses (he's stuck on it being a diet fad even though I've presented him proper data) I will likely seek elsewhere. I have been supplementing with micronized forms of the two aforementioned hormones, but would like to see if HCG does a better job.

I've been reading how an LH signal may help with stress related issues such as adrenal fatigue as well. This is something I have a great deal of interest in as I had sleep apnea for some time, which really messed with my cortisol levels. Definitely hoping this is the magic bullet that fixes a few nagging issues.

My .02c :)

Think back-fill hormonal pathways...as halfwit pointed out. I would recommend its use. I did a long cruise and incorporated it and compared to whn I had done so in the past felt much better not only cause my nuts were fuller but I didnt experience the degree of lethargy etc and maintained a fantasic sense of well being.

Bingo. There's tremendous benefit to hCG. Far more than aesthetics. I'd like to add that hCG can balance your T levels so that you only have to inject cyp once per week for stable serum. hCG is a staple in my TRT protocol.

Could you please expound on this? Thanks.

honestly my nuts are the same size on/off it. Same with load size. When I used to take it a few years ago it would blow my balls up and I'd spray girls down. Maybe I got desensitized although I heard that's a myth.
Find it much easier to dial in my trt without hcg, but I supp my dhea and preg so there's that.

The reason we inject twice weekly (recommended) is so that we maintain stable serum testosterone. With hCG's presence, you can eliminate one injection because hCG will prevent the "dip" in serum.

For example, if your protocol requires two 50mg injections weekly, you can use hCG and switch to injecting 100mg of testosterone once weekly.

Thanks Austinite! I assume that's only for the ones not concerned with testicular atrophy??

there are a lot of people that inject HCG and T on the same day twice a week. This is where stuff gets confusing...lol

I am adding HCG to my protocol, looking forward to its added benefits, I am curious though, should I still supplement with DHEA and Pregnenolone even with the use of HCG?

You don't have to, but it certainly can be beneficial. You can use small doses. 25mg of each should be fine.

Injecting hCG and Testosterone the same day is not recommended on a TRT protocol. You need to spread them out so that serum levels remain stable. Only when/if blasting or cycling does is it OK to run them the same day.
