tight lower back?

The last two weeks ive had extreme tightness in my lower back after squatting..it lasts a few days and is always the worst in the morning when i wake..i stretch everyday as it is..i havent used a belt for squats..i got a brand new mattress 2 weeks ago so i hope it isnt that lol..any ideas?
 
Are you also doing deadlifts? I have found that deadlifts and squats are a good combination because the deadlifts strengthen my lower back and I put a lot of strain on my lower back when I squat. Squats strengthen my legs and thus make it easier to deadlift. When these two exercises have a symbiotic relationship I have more strength in both exercises. Also on one of your days off, spend that time stretching, yoga might even help.
 
Iv noticed that if i leg press before i squat my back gets really tight, but if i squat first then leg press it doesnt hurt at all. Just some food for thought. Oh and stretching cold after a workout does nothing for me. I only stretch in a really hot shower with the water beating down on my lower back. Seems to make all the difference in the world for me.

i squat on mon and pull on thurs..i stretch every morn for 5-10 mins..its really been the last two weeks... normally im just a little sore but this has been a moe than normal (for me) tightness..

i get lower back pumps on an oral..this is different..
 
Sometimes shit just happens, last time i had massage it helped everything and it didn't come back. IMO sometimes you just need to get everything loosened and cut back a bit. That being said, i heard pullinbig is now making housecalls for his massageing, but only to males and they must be "cute" as he puts it, whatever that means, lol.

thats along the lines i was thinking..its just so damn hard to go into the gym and go light...
 
Well, I would say hamstring flexibility, as that is the #1 cause of lower back pain (relative to OUR population group), but if you stretch every day, that shouldn't be a problem. I'm at a loss, really.

same here..of course i squatted realtively heavy today but i didnt do any other work..it was somewhat tight but ive been blasting it with the heat pad and stretching it out...
i dont think im gonna pull..and im really gona try to not squat heavy next week..really give myslef a good week of very minimal low back work..see if that does the trick
 
take a week off and i'll come do your back for ya. nothing like having 310lbs of tested up redneck on your back side to loosen those taught muscles. first time clients get a 50% discount. I'll even use some of my special sauce.
