Tolerance to Gear

I know that our bodies build a certain tolerance to drugs which is why dosages increase to achieve a similar effect. I have been off for almost two years and my question is what will my tolerance level be? Im thinking that two years isnt long enough for my receptors to be "re-virginized", but I should have a better response to the gear than I was during the 5 years i cycled? My body responds very well to low dosages so Im going to try just a cycle of 300mg of test a week for 12 weeks. What are your thoughts?

i think the perceived tolerance to gear people feel is actually the fact that the closer we get to our maxx natural muscle mass the harder it gets to grow/more gear it takes to grow . receptors are constantly being renewed.

He's right. You don't build a "tolerance" to gear and you will respond no better to it with "virgin" receptors - as DD pointed out, my receptors are just as virgin as yours and I've been on for almost 5 years. You might notice a more profound change in your body when you go on, but that's just because I've never been off and thus haven't lost as much of what I can hold, not because you have less "tolerance".

You're absolutely wrong. Calling it a fact doesn't make it true. Humans build no "tolerance" to steroids whatsoever.

people develope a tolerance to alcohol out of survival. the brain adapts in attempts to compenstate for the disruption caused by alcohol (functional).
The body also becomes more effiecent in elimination of alcohol from the body (metabolic).

im not sure if its the same situation for gear. gear isnt life threatening

heres a thought (i have no idea if this would hold true but its my attempt at putting it in perspective)
if you did one shot of test suspension once a week i think you would notice its effects every week. now if you drank one beer a week, i think the effects that beer has on you would decrease rapidly.
just a thought...

remember that gear is NOT a drug... it is a hormone. The way your body responds to high levels of testosterone is the hypothalimus gives negative feedback to the testes to produce less naturally and your balls schrink. But still you inject more into your body twice a week whether or not you body is producing any. The big question is will your balls come back to life and produce the correct amount of testosterone once you stop pumping yourself full of it.

hmmm i wouldnt go that far. its a drug

DRUG
1. Pharmacology. a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being.

noun
1. a substance that is used as a medicine or narcotic

i kinda noticed i didnt react to test as well after a few years of being on it. I think its my body trying to protect me from the excess dht but then again i have no proof.

trev dog, what kind of dossages do you run? how old are you? and do you still have most of your hair? also did u notice any aging effects?

the reason i ask is im 25 and was on high dossages non stop from 21-24 and i lost a lot of my hair and im wondering if i aged my self or damged my body, however i hate being off and feel like shit and wondering how you feel and look.

By your definition... ointment you put on a misquito bite or a multivitamin to treat a potassium deficiency is a drug, and these are not normally considered drugs.

You been on for 5 years? Have you been brigdeing between cycles or have you gone all out for 5 years?

And which side-effects have you experienced?
What about your own testproduction, wouldt it be a problem getting it back if you went off?

Actually Brian Batcheldor, a steroid guru on T-nation talks about tolerance towards roids in his S- files. He recommends 3 weeks on 1 week off cycles for athletes. This guy has a solid reputation so i`d check him out

we do build tolerances to drugs, why do drug addicts have to take 15 vicodin instead of 3 after prolonged use to achieve the same effect? It goes with any drug, and you cant say that its only rec. drugs because that simply doesnt make sense. I have been off for 2 years and think my first cycle back will be 300 mg Test E for 16 weeks, during wich i might ad some fina in towards the end for 6 weeks.... thoughts?

they are not normally considered drugs because the FDA has not evaluated their ability/effectivness to treat illness or deficiency. Therefore they are considered dietary supplements. Testosterone on the other hand has been evaluated and is definatly a drug.

You're wrong. You don't build tolerance to every drug, and again, you don't build a tolerance to test.

I run 500 mgs. of test per week year round. Sometimes I add other things to that for 8-10 weeks. I'm in my late 30s. I have most of my hair. Aging effects? If anything I feel and look younger than I would "naturally".

No you didn't age yourself and I really doubt that you damaged your body. That's assuming you were just running injectables continuously. I wouldn't assume that you did no damage if you were running high doses of winstrol or other harsh orals for years at a time.

yeah i just ran injectables. and orals a few times.

my hair is looking pretty crappy. not even a receding hair line, its like i have diffuse shedding all over from my hormones being so crazy.

For every study i have found that says that we dont build a tolerance, i find another that says we do...Its like global warming, some believe it is real, others refute it

I challenge you to post a single study that shows that we build a tolerance to steroids. I'm entirely confident you're just confusing "tolerance" with "diminishing returns" - they aren't the same thing.
