Also theres a big difference between how much protein your body will actually use and absorb when your on cycle compared to off. It would be insane in my opinion to be taking that much in training naturally, your body just cant use it and then it becomes a waste of money for sure.
 
Oh for sure, if a guy is in a calorie surplus come the end of the day weight gain will happen, and excess calories will be stored as fat. I just find for myself, and this might go against everything ever written, but this does not happen if I keep the carbs lower and the protein super high, as opposed to lets say 1.5-2x carbs to protein ratio. My metabolism being light speed might play a factor, also a lot of my diet advice or even the way I think is strictly from trying stuff and seeing if it works or not, I don't follow a certain protocol when it come to dieting I just one thing and tweak it and try something else to see what gives me the best result. like weve said everyone is different. I personally rock a lot of simple carbs and gain like crazy, whereas some dudes would ballon up if they did that.

Agreed 100%, only way to know is to experiment for yourself.

you're giving a lot of advice in this thread. post some pics so we can see your physique.

210 @ 15% bf, i only consume bout 150-200g of protein, still growing, protein is over rated, getting it all from food, when i was 180 i slammed down 300+g of protein saw same results as with less protein, saved money by not throwing it at tubs

edit - i should mention im only 5'8ish
