Like was said Vistaril is a antihistamine just as Benadryl and some people just can't take it because of the lingering effect. You need a script ( I think) for Vistaril and Benadryl is OTC and cheap. It's not as strong so you might want to give it a try @ 50 - 100 mgs.

Vistaril you need a prescription for, it's technically an antihistamine but people commonly mistake it for being like Benadryl, because it does have similar properties but it doesn't leave us as groggy as Benadryl... one of the Beauties with this compound Vistaril is that if you're utilizing any injections that tend to leave a welt or irritation it has properties without giving it some relief...

But you do need a script for it and I personally find that 50mg is more than sufficient to give someone a sense of relaxation or a calming feeling....

I will even take it when I feel slightly irritated or on edge when running Tren.... and it can be a lifesaver but I also noticed that it makes me a little bit hungry which can be a good benefit

Well as I said Milton I don't like any antihistamines they all leave my hung over. Benadryl is the lesser culprit and so I can get by with 50 mgs but it's weak at that dose. Unisom is a no-no for me. And Vistaril just makes me like shit and has some other sides for me at 100 mgs my ears ring and more. 50mgs helps me sleep but as I said , a hang over.

It's strange I can wake up but soon after getting going I drag and get sleepy.

For advice I would first try the Benadryl. It's the light weight of them all.

Now that shows how different we all are. I have used Vistaril and have a script because of my being a recovering addict they won't give me anything else. I can't and don't use it. I hate it. I also disagree with you on Benadryl having more sides and less hangover. That's me.

But because of Vist.. needing a scrip I advise starting with the Benadryl.

It's all a choice and we're all different , we agree on that.

PS: I must also tell you guys. Since I am Bi-Polar Type I have had sleep problems , forever as well as bad anxiety. I used to use Valium ( a Benzo) and even with my addiction I never abused it and it worked great for both sleep and anxiety. Now they will not let me have it. But these antihistamines play havoc with everything with me. They will not believe I can actually can use Valium with not a problem and nr abuse.

Why would you take Valium you said that you didn't like the hungover feeling of antihistamines Jesus the hangover Valium leaves you with is insane that shit is rubbish already posted what he needs no pills or cough syrup needed

Ha, lol I knew that was for me and that's not a problem. However we ALL agree that we are all different. WE heard some testimony from Vision I think and he would take Vistaril before Benadryl and me opposite . My experience with Valium was no hangover and no problems. Also as an active addict in those day Thank God I wasn't abusing it.

I think I also advised trying a host of things and I believe ( maybe) I was intending OP to try the lesser of the evils like the antihistamines. THe natural way would certainly be the best. For me non of those even touched me.

Please don't hear what I didn't say or intend here. :)

PS: I just saw these other posts and I would smoke pot but I am not able. But that does not always keep me sleeping all night :(

Your spot on Mike and having been addicted to pain pills my self I just don't like seeing people getting stuck on that sort of shit but like you say everybody reacts differently to different things
It just shits me that there is all this medication that tries to basically mimic cannibas but it also is highly addictive and can kill you
And as for the pill re mark I was talking about the anxiety you don't need pills for that shit I've had ptsd so I have a bit of an idea that's just my 0,02cents as halfwit would say
Better stop talking about weed or Milton will give me a virtual punch in the face
 
I'm pretty old school. When I feel like I can't sleep, I just fall back on the widely used sleep aid known as sex. For those of you that this therapy doesn't work for, try a longer dose and satisfy the misses you selfish bastards...Keep in mind that oral application and/or hand massage can be effective as well.

There ya go listen to bigswole he knows what's up. Or a Lil herbs like Blakey said. I also am strongly against pain pills seen too many people wreck thier lives getting addicted to them. Honestly I'm so damn tired by the end of my days i can barely keep my eyes open. But when I get some booty before bed I sleep like a baby
