Using Danazol to reduce SHBG?

Has anyone used Danazol for lowering SHBG? I tried HCG monotherapy for 5 months and raised my total T from 400 to just over 700, but my SHBG doubled from 25 to 51, so my bioavailable only went from 130 to 140 (range 110-575). In then switched to TRT using 200mg cyp, 1,000 IUs of HCG and 1.5mg Arimidex per week. I was concerned about having too low E2, so I only used 1mg of Arimidex per week. My libido, mood, recovery, still haven't improved at all, so my doctor is now recommending 25mg of Danazol per day for 30 days. I'm a little concerned because it's hepatoxic, and because of the cost ($240 for 30 days), in addition to the fact that my SHBG might rebound once I discontinue Danazol. I would try Proviron but can't get any, so my options are Danazol or continue using stinging nettle and hope it will eventually work. Wouldnt't using a higher dose of cyp for a short period of time be safer and more cost effective than Danazol? Any advice is appreciated...

OK...it appears there isn't a lot of experience on this one, so I'll give it a try and report back in a month after my next blood work.

If I remember correctly, danazol will lower your SHBG. And once it's lowered, it tends to stay there for several months.

On 200mg per week your SHBG will come down over time. That's the dose that I've been on and at some point my free T was so high (6%+) that I took nolva for a few weeks to bring UP my SHBG.

You shouldn't have any problem having high free T on 200mg/week.

danazol is a compound most are not experienced with, thats why youre getting crickets..

i know where your getting the compound.. there is a hrt compound out there right now pushing for the use of it..

i personally do not have experience with it.. i heard its alot like tbol.. and i didn't know it controls shbg.. might have to look into it just for that

I used it once a long time ago. I don't remember my exact dose I think somewhere between 600 - 800mg

My experience I would have to explain as taking half a winstrol dose and low var dose.

If you could find a cheap source then I'd say add it to any cycle it'd be a nice addition. The down fall is its incredibly expensive, or it was for me. For the price I wouldn't run it again.

Its a synthetic androgen that shifts the androgen estrogen ratio. It con sometimes help with gyno if out of wack androgen estrogen ratio is the cause. The thing is it lowers SHBG just like any androgen - just faster. Over time your trt on its own will lower shbg, heck often too low shbg can even become an issue for some on trt.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm just about finished with the Danazol, and I'll be getting BW soon to see how effective it was in lowering my SHBG. My libido was still very low while I was on it, but I did feel like I got leaner and more vascular.

If one starts TRT with 20-30 nmol/l of SHBG while natty, over time it will lower even more with TRT....
Do you think this lowering of SHBG is the cause why some ppl complain they dont feel the TRT working for them after 2.5 yrs ?
I think some folks for that reason jump onto restarts..
They don't feel the TRT working for them as it did at first.
