weighted vest

ok i am thinking about buying an 80lb vest to wear.... just added conditioning. any thoughts on this. plan to wear it under my shirt at work and at the gym...... at the gym it will be nice not holding a dumb bell in between my legs during dips
 
Don't wear it to walk around man. Its hell on the knees.. maybe not now but you'll regret it down the road. But for pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, and dips.. its a god send.. I have a 100 Pound vest that I use almost everyday for those small things.
 
I agree with these guys. I can understand at the gym for dips but at my gym they have the belts with a chain. I'll loop a couple plates on, adjust my junk, and away I go. Its free and I can keep adding as I get stronger.
 
my gym does not have the belt with chain (la fitness)... i guess i could buy one of those

my thoughts were that someone 300lbs does not need to recover from walking to the car, walking up steps, getting up from his chair. and if i added 10lb per week for 8 weeks to trick my body i was heavier to it would adapt to the added weight with more muscle.

that could be stupid but that is why i posted my idea here to get some thoughts on it.
