I withdrew some b12 from a b12 vial, and another substance. I think I may not have loaded them both properly, not quite sure.

ANYWAYS I withdrew with a 19g, switched to 25gauge and injected into my right quad. Around the same area I always do, tried to aspirate and my god there was a lot of tension, finally was able to pull the plunger back and all good, no blood or anything. Proceeded to inject and MY GOD the plunger wouldn't budge, thinking I was in scar tissue, anyway kept trying and after about 5 mins got all the stuff in.

Anyways after I injected everything, left the needle in for 20 seconds to make sure it wasn't gonna leak out. Anyway, withdrew needle and blood squirted out of my leg, put a bandaid over to minimize any loss. Then a few mins later a hard red lump appeared at the injection site. Woke up this morning and the lump is gone, I assume it was the injected stuff sitting under the skin correct?

Depends on a few things such as barrel imperfections, scar tissue localization, viscosity of the "other substance", and any bends in the pinning needle. My guess is that you probably had a "sticky" barrel (it happens) where the black plunger tip snagged onto the walls of the barrel, making it difficult to depress. My thumbs hurt thinking about it. :p

You likely passed through a small vessel on the way in or out (which won't always show up on an aspiration), and through a process of vacuum (withdrawing the needle from a pressurized area) generated enough force to get that bugger to squirt some blood at you. As the skin tends to heal faster than the tissues underneath, you likely had a nice little "fat pad" where the blood and possibly some of the B12 mix were trapped. The fact that it went away shortly after is a positive sign that your body was able to absorb these and I'd imagine everything is back to normal.

At least that's my non-MD guess. :)

Scar tissue is why you can't aspirate and having difficulty with plunging.

Veins don't squirt, arteries do. Either way, you'll be fine.

I assume its scar tissue, coz its the same spot I hit for months on end on all my cycles. Let me check if I have the lump there still.

Nope no lump, just a little sore and tender when I touch it. Did I lose any of my stuff? Should I inject again?

What can I do about scar tissue? That's my favourite area to pin on my right quad coz I know I never have problems there. How do I get rid of scar tissue? Or is it there for life?

If I move the injection site up from that area about 5cm will I be ok?

twas a failed attempt at humor.

Lookup scar tissue massage techniques. Very difficult to rid yourself of scar tissue.

I shall look it up, so does that mean I cant inject in that area anymore? Should I move further up the quads or?

Yes, avoid scar tissue. Oil can sit in scar tissue and become an abscess. I had to relocate twice a few days ago.

Just wait til swelling goes down to pin that area again, no biggy. Use more injection sites to prevent scar tissue

Fuck, hate pinning anywhere but my quads.

So If I inject further down near the knee, that should be no worries
?

Thanks aus,

how come I never see any diagrams on pinning hamstrings? Or never ever hear anyone mention it?
