1g of test will have you looking like a fat powerlifter. 1g of tren will have you looking like a npc level bodybuilder. There's just better options out there. All the 70s bodybuilders didn't even use test.

Deca gives me gyno no matter what. Tren with 100mg test and I do just fine using caber and a small dose of an AI.
I'm about a month into my most recent test/deca cycle and initially tried to run it at 500/500mg of each per week but was having some ED issues. Horny as hell but had issues getting/maintaining wood. Bumped up the test by 100mg last week and I'm good to go. This was the first time I'd ever tried to run test/deca at the same dose. I've probably run the two compounds together 6-7 times and had always had the test dose at least a little high than deca based on the advice I'd read. Turned out to be true for me.
Im with Austinite. I keep deca in at 200mg a week year round. I have stayed at as low as 100mg test e, but I have better appetite with 200mg and this puts me close to 1200 ng dl
Comparing different compounds gram-for-gram is already a poor argument. What matters is the relative gains compared to the relative side effects.
Tren is more powerful but it's also very harsh. A more fair comparison would be something like 3g+ of test to 1g of tren.
Besides, the sides are very individual. Some guys get terrible insomnia & night sweats on even low dose Tren. Heck, some guys even get bloat from it just like test, while others get no bloat from tons of test & deca.
The drug game is all about finding out what works for the individual through continual experimentation, using approximate averages of others as a general starting point (which is the point of this thread actually).
You do what your body tells you, not what you tell your body. Like 308power mentioned, there's a reason we have many different types of antibiotics in the medical field.
I find all of this very interesting. Didn't know it was safe to run a low dose of test at 100-200mg a week with other compounds involved. I'm wondering if I'd benefit running test at 200mg/wk and tren at 300/wk. Hmmm... I've been crusing at 150mg/wk for months now

My appetite is horrible while on tren. Is there documentation on why this actually happens? No.Why would you guys use tren as a mass supplement when it's used as a cutting/lean mass preservation steroid for cattle?

For me, I think its just because it makes me hot all the time and gives me the feeling that I have a 10 minute job to get done in 9. I cant relax or sleep well on it without Marijuana. The more you get into this lifestyle you will see how performance enhancing drugs really join hands with recreational drugs.
Example: You feel like shit from squatting 900 on monday, not sleeping well, then benching 600 on wednesday. A few hits off of the gravity bong, and a few hydrocodone, and you are ready to pound some food down, and go to sleep.
