What's your routine? Full body? Split? Shock?

Hey guys. So I think it's time I switched up my routine, my normal routine is 2 body parts per session. Unless shoulders, there the only group I train solo.

I train 5-6 days a week.

Back and tri
Chest and bi
Shoulders
Calves and core
Legs and whatever I have energy left for, normally forearms and neck.

I train 45mins to an hour.

Recently I am wanting to switch up my routine. Maybe a full body each day? Or half?

I will have to lower weight since I go balls to the wall on my normal routine and I know I won't have the energy for a 3rd or 4th body part.

So what routine do you guys do? What works best for you?

My routine is legs and abs one day then arms and abs the next day with cardio mixed in with each of those days. So I alternate that every other day and it's been working great for me. I see a different in my body already after a month of this routine.

Five day split with a second day for two body parts I'm focusing on.

Chest
Back
Shoulders
Arms
Chest
Arms
Legs

I don't know how folks can do the old bro split anymore. I used to do that myself for years, but moving to this really allows me to push as hard as I want, and have just enough gas in the tank to finish. I typically train for 70-120 minutes. (nothing wrong with the old splits, but it just seems less effective to me)

What would you consider the "ol bro split" ?
the 5x5 crowd would consider your 5 day split a bro split, wouldn't they?

I rotate between 4 day bro split, push pull leg, and upper lower split.
I get great pumps on bro split, but see better strength gains on upper/lower

I use Lyle Mcdonald's generic bulk routine as my U/L split

I am sticking to the basics & will stick to something like this till further notice

Day 1

Legs & shoulders - Squats Leg Press Military Press & Behind the Neck Press

Day 3

Chest & Back - Flat Bench Pecdeck Bent Row Seated Row T bar row

Legs (or shoulders/legs)

It's more of a 3 day on/off routine.

5x5 is something I'd compare to a 5/3/1, or 3x10-12, or what I do: 4x10. The big difference being the actual lifts of course. In PL, I used to do the big three (squat/DL/bench) on a 5x5 or 5/3/1 with accessory work with a 3x10.

Yeah, some guys have had these named after them - but folks have been running mostly just different variations of old school Oly programs. DC is a great example though of what I'd consider out of the box thinking implementation.

Yeah, I realize I'm just rambling at this point. :p

Holy Moly Brendan I haven't seen tats like that since the early 90's.

Reminds me of Kimo Leoploldo.
