Some People i go out with do alot of rec drugs but swear to stay away from steroids cause there so bad (in their minds). They see me and are like do you take steroids like deca, and do you inject dianabol? I feel like telling them off and the stuff they say makes no sense "inject dianabol" WTF. its okay if people do rec drugs like cocaine, ecstasy but if you do juice your the outcast, the topic of juice comes up and they see you have some acne on your arm and say out loud its because of the steroids your doing. I can't stand this. I like to hang out with people who do juice also cause you feel like a brotherhood and when you come onto ths website you feel welcomed, no harsh attitudes against you! How do you deal with friends or acquaintances that see steroids are worse for your health then Rec drugs?

Exactly what Bigdelt said....the media! People are mostly sheep that follow and believe what they hear from the media. They are too stupid to research things for themselves or have any independent thought.

Two things come to mind: needles and ignorance. Anything that requires sticking a needle into your body is going to get a very bad reputation (unless you are talking about Botox, of course). Second, most people have some experience (first hand or through a close friend) with the common rec drugs, but the number of people who correctly use steroids is much smaller by comparison, and as usual, ignorance --> irrational condemnation.

I've done rec drugs for quite some time in the past, and they are much worse on your body than AS. Roids affect your body yes, but with proper knowledge and cycling, it can be minimalized. Rec drugs do nothing but eat away at your brain, spinal cord, deplete your body of vitamins, and eat muscle tissue. Not to mention the psychological affects of them. Cocaine about ruined my life until a couple years ago when I quit cold turkey. Quit drinking and smoking and doing drugs all in the same month. The best decisions of my life.
AS are drugs, and in the wrong hands can be as dangerous as Rec drugs.

Also, recreational drugs are a communal experience shared with friends; anabolic steroids are usually consumed alone, and most users keep it to themselves.

I suspect it has to do with intra-sex competition. Consider breast implants. Women without them HATE women with them. Why? Because it’s “cheating,” they say. Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) are much the same – i.e. they “tinker” with indicators of genetic fitness.

Further, there’s plenty of evidence suggesting women are attracted to men with high testosterone levels (particularly during ovulation). So, if you’re some fat-cat-bureaucrat with a hottie wife, wouldn’t you too want to get t-400 off the streets?

It's easy to blame the media for the inaccurate portrayal of steroids, and while this may be true, it also holds true for other "Rec" drugs as well. You may recall the anti-terrorist adds where they made the claim that if you bought a dimebag of weed, then you supported terrorism and killing children. You'd think that if these Rec drug users could look past these commercials to the truth, they could do the same with AAS. Just plain ignorance I guess, some people you just can't reach. I liked your point, Cro Magnon, about the snickering and pointing. I find it's mostly girls who take it upon themselves to tell how I'm killing myself, and it usually shuts them up pretty quick to tell them that the birth control they take are "Steroids".
I feel like telling them off and the stuff they say makes no sense "inject dianabol" - BTW, not to be a smartass, but it's called Reforvit

Lots of people do rec drugs, especially pot. So gear is the great unknown, "nobody" does it, they dont have experience with it, yada yada.

doing Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) with close friends--yea i see it as a total sub culture between ya. ppl on the outside not all but some are ya real iggnorant about it but what can ya do. they see u putting on lean mass and get jeolous why else is there for them to say that s--t right.

It's always going to be like this. Don't waste time trying to explain how steroids really aren't that bad for one or morally wrong. You'll get no where. Most people are followers and they live off the medias bullshit. They are brainwashed and misinformed and incapable of breaking away from the norm. So be it!

As for the comparison of Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) to Rec drugs...that's ludicrous. Yeah, they're both drugs, but that's about all they have in common. We use steroids to improve ourselves and we work damn hard at it. All we're doing is combining science with good hard work!

I've enclosed an appropriate excerpt from Dr. R Scruggs:

"The lack of scientific data has not deterred so-called medical experts, the media, and others from making unsupported and unsubstantiated claims about the damage and dangers of all anabolic steroid use."

The media and the goverrnment do a good job at keeping it in the bad spotlight. The government you ask... who do you think controls the media???? If this is supposed to be a free country why cant I freely decide for myself what I want to do.. I'll tell you why because if I freely purchase Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) the gov doesnt geet paid....If they dont get paid its a problem......................................

I agree with ya'll. I pride myself on taking care of my body, and I associate with people who do the same. I also come into contact with alot of people who have this wacked-out view on AS. They havent done the research that I have, and I know this.

If you think about it, the majority of them are intimidated by us.

I just try to explain to them that Im taking alot better care of my body by bein on AS, then they are by snorting GLASS for three days straight! :druggie:

Thats just me though.:thefinger

You guys make sense. Cro magnun, i like the idea or fact that women are attracted to men with high levls of testasterone. Other men, i see are jealous and say shit to you, and say wise things to you. I see that others are jealous bcause one: they aren't as lean and big. 2. they are scared that there girlfriend may like you because you have more testasterone, more muscle.! well i'm glad for boards like this and brothers like you!!!

Oh yeah, and if someone knows the looks of steroid use then they will know that yu are on them, like some guys in the gym us steroids but in weird ways like drink alcohol all the time,do some weird kinds with no idea of cycle time limits and when I walk by they are like checking me out and sometimes smirking, comparing and so forth!

i had a similar problem with some ppl that i know. when i quit smoking like 5 years ago i gained some weight and they thought that i was on roids. I gained like 25lbs when that happpened. when i did my first cycle i lost some body fat and gained like 10 lbs and they didnt say anything. people sometimes think with their ass.

So true in my fraternity so many people knocked me for doing Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) but they were snorting Coke and anything else they can get their hands on. Finally one day i stood up in chapter and announced it was true i use Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) but its no worse than anyone who uses coke or X, then i said atleast i see results from doing my illicit drugs. and if any of them wanted to talk about it i will use my "steroid muscles" to talk to them about it out in the hall.. lol.. i wouldnt really beat up a brother but they shut up and its all cool now.
