Wife lost sex drive, almost completely

Hey, now I know what it's like when people talk about no sex after marriage. She lost it completely after giving birth (which is very common in women), then it came back a little for a few months, and now it's almost gone completely.

I actually had to go as far as decreasing my own sex drive (taking minimal test and upping the deca), easy to get a hard on but deca works on the mental side of the sex drive. It upsetting when you wanna fuck everyday, now it's ok if it's only once a week and at least I dont care anymore (thanks to deca).

Also it's not like she was always that horny anyway, which is kinda a good thing, will make her less likely to cheat on me, and now me on her. If my drive was still high, I'd be fuckin some other chick right now.

Just a little tip my friend. Woman don't usually cheat for sexual purposes, it is often to do with empathy and emotions and somebody they talk to and will listen to them and stupid shit like that. Get a new lady, that is what I did.

Dude, go to the doc and get her prescribed to some androgel. get a couple mg a day and she'll be fuckin like a crazy woman

Androgel did nothing for my wife, lol! I guess it will work dif with some then others. Sometimes it is just a hormonal thing, or it could be PPD. My inclination is to get a mistress on the side, not a whore, but someone that can understand your probs and have a similar situation she is in. what else can you do? You shouldn't have to inject yourself to lower your sex drive just because you aren't getting any. That seems a bit much to me.

hi.. for what it's worth.. my doc prescribed some andriol post hysterectomy for me.. it wasn't intended to increase my sex drive, but it certainly did all of that and more! (test undec. capsules). it was so notable, i told a girlfriend about it and she had the same experience after having it prescribed for her.

i don't know how old your wife is either.. but another notable tidbit from my own experience is that my sex drive absolutely went through the roof in my late 30's.. and has shown no signs of letting up or slowing down since. i hear this is common. i know this doesn't remedy the frustrations now.. but might hold out hope for the future.

sex IS very important in a relationship. i hope you find a solution that works for both of you very soon.

^Andriol has a very short half life. How many do you take a day? or do you split them up during the day? I think we need more info. Like how long has it been since she had the child and her age and physical shape? There are so many factors involved with women, for one may not be the same as another. I know of women in their 30's that are prime as far as wanting sex etc., then there are other that loose it completely. Some also get early perimenopause, which i dont' think is your wifes case. It could be t-3/4 imbalances, pituitary function, low free test, estrodial etc there are so many hormones that work in conjunction with a woman's endocrine system. I would have her see an endocronologist ob/gyn and maybe get some testing done first. Try to find out the real cause first instead of medicating the symptoms. If it hasn't been very long since birth, her hormones may be off and just need time to get back to their normal course, but may take months or more.

i was prescribed andriol in my 20's.. after a full hyst (i am now 42). after my hyst.. i just didn't feel right no matter what dose of estrogen i was taking.. and my sex drive was lower than usual, but i had just had tons of surgery on my reproductive organs too.. i was prescribed 1-2 caps daily (40-80mg), taken with a fatty meal (to aid in the assimilation of the drug). i also took a small dose of estrogen daily too (because i no longer had my own production).

seeing that andriol is prescription, i assumed that this step would be included.
i agree with mick-g about seeing a doctor about it to evaluate/treat the cause if possible.

This is absolutely true.

Really lol? so you would say the same applies to men or is it different? I'd cheat for both reasons really.

She's done a cycle before with anavar, and that didnt affect her sex drive at all.

She's gonna get a full thyroid blood work done soon but that's about it. Maybe I'll have the doc test her estrogen and test levels also, complete profile.

Wow! I feel so sorry for you, but you are in such good shape for a woman your age. Is it maybe genetic? My wifes prob is that she had a septate uterus and had it supposedly removed 2yrs ago, then shortly after the septate was done she had her tube ligated, for conception purposes. For the past 1r or more now she has pressure pain in the lower pelvic area and her periods have always been heavy and much cramping, but this pressure now is all the time and her periods are now about every two wks for the last...id say 4-6 months. She is 38yrs old. Her sex drive has been down for the last 4 yrs. She is having another laparascopy done on the 19th of this month by a very good endo reproductive dr. Apparently with septate has come back. He says he may just remove the tubes if they are being disruptive, but he will not remove the ovaries or doing anything to the septate, as it would prob fuse together again. He said that they can do some type of hysterscope thing that is done thru the cervix into the uterus to diminish her periods if that is something later she wants to do in the future. We were considering IVF, but he said her chances for a full term pregnancy are only 15-20% with her prob and her age. I don't know if it is worth 10K for this small of a percent. Too bad we live in a state where IFV is not funded thru insurance. :(

asdgas agdas asdg adsd -- my fuckin head just spun around twice. Pineapple - welcome to the American dream - you bought the cow, no more milk for you! This subject is a major hot point in my relationship with my wife. Before we were "I Do-ed" into the 8th ring of hell, she was hot horny and adventurous - now shes the biggest prude I know.......If any of this shit works, please let me know and I'll be ordering it by the pound in suppository form.

hi mick.. well, don't feel sorry for me.. i've never felt better. if your wife is experiencing pain/pressure in reproductive area, it could very well influence her sex drive.. i was a mess when going thru all that shit. sex was painful for me.. my lack of drive was linked to hormonal imbalances and endometriosis.. best thing i did was to have a full hysterectomy.. and follow up with low dose HRT. even after surgery, adhesions can form.. which can tug on organs and connective tissue. glad to hear she is looking into options. sex shouldn't be dreaded or painful. i think i'm better now than i was years ago, and much less inhibited. not to mention.. i no longer have my monthly or the psychotic bitchy episodes that accompany it.. i should be any guy's dream.. lol

i train very intensely and am very dedicated.. i got into it because i was a mess after those health problems.. and it was the best medicine of all for me. but i am told i have incredible genetics too. which is why i've even bothered to compete in bodybuilding. for me.. training and nutrition are a lifetime commitment. hopefully i will meet a man who feels the same way.

i think it's a difficult situation when these things happen.. and often times both parties feel helpless and frustrated and end up either taking it personal and resenting each other, or drifting apart, finding other methods in order to cope.

don't take any doctor's word as truth either.. especially if problems aren't resolved.. we often know something is wrong even when it can't be detected by tests yet.. as happens often with endometriosis.

^She has had 3 laparascopies. One for the septate uterus, one for the tubal ligation, and the 3rd to find out about the pelvice pressure pain, this one was totally a waste, as he didn't conclude anything. This will be the 4th and yes, she is also getting pain post sex. It is very, very frustrating. the last dr said there was hardly any endometriosis and her labs have been all normal but her free t-3 being alittle low out of the normal range, but her put her on synthroid, which did nothing, lol! She look as if she has too all water/bloat over her whole body, including weight gain. She works out 5 days a wk and cardio 45minutes a day. Seems like USA drs are reluctant to do full hyster now, they say to remove the ovaries without any cysts or endometriosis and then if they do she will have to be on hormonal meds for the rest of her life and they say it leads to early ostoprosis (sp). Anyway, i and she are way tired of this and too may scopes imo. Going back to this guys prob. I think it may just be PPD. A guy just has to be extra loving and do the extra little things and it takes time, especially if it has not been too long after giving birth.

I was watching "cheaters" and the guy said that his "girlfriend" should put out whenever he wants it, dont matter if she's not in the mood, as long as he is.

So then me and the wife had a debate about that. I was thinking the same thing, I'm horny, spread em. But after a while that gets really old, might as well fuck a blow up doll.

hmmm...are there any other products women can gobble (non-inject) to increase their sex drive? This interests me.
Wellbutrin. Just have her go to her doc and say she's depressed and she's heard bad things about SSRIs and would like to try this med instead.

really? i've understood wellbutrin (& SSRI's) can actually cause a decrease in sex drive.. interesting to see that reported.. many anti-depressants actually note a decrease in sex drive (or an actual dis-interest or inability to become aroused) as a notable possible side effect... but i suppose if depression is the root of the problem, it very well may help.

in my years working in pharmacy.. i've also seen cialis, levitra and viagara (in addition to andriol & test), prescribed for women, not just men. i believe there are other prescription medications which have been developed to address this in women, tho i can't recall any brand names at the moment.
