workout/rest?

34 yrs old 200lb 5' 10" lifting 5 yrs, 3rd cycle currently. test e 700mg/wk deca 400mg/wk . trying to bulk on some size on 5000 calrie/day diet. my question is on my workout, currently is like this:
monday; chest/back
tues; tri/bi
wed; leg/shoulders
thur; chest/back
fri tri/bi
sat/sun ; off
aprox, 75-90 minutes a day.
am i over training? if so what would be better 4 me? would apreciate any/all opinions, thank you

I was working out a body part a day for a long time and then I switched to just doing the basics 4 time a week. I have added noticeable size to my arms. Doing chest and back in the same day seems odd. I was thought to work muscle groups together i.e. Back/Bi, chest/tri, legs, shoulders.

If your looking to bulk I would cut down to 4 days a week high weight/intensity and work out muscles group together.

Mon. Chest/tri
Tue.back/bi
Wed. rest or just a cardio day
Thur. shoulder
fri. legs
Sat/Sun. rest

Remember your grow during rest

I train 3-4 times a week for 50-60 minutes per session. Stick to the compounds, cut down the volume and hit it super hard every time you walk into the gym.

I doubt that you're overtraining if you are running that much gear and eating 5k calories a day, but I do think you can make improvements to that training split.

lol u got that workout plan from arnolds bodybuilding encyclopedia,
 
not sure if workout came from there, it may have, got it from a trainer i met (and he was huge, so i took his word that it was a quality schedule.) would appreciate any other opinions or input, thanx

Right now, I do this...

Day 1: Push (Chest, Shoulders, Tris) MAX 6 sets per body part
Day 2: Pull (Back, Biceps) MAX 9 sets for back and 6 sets for bis
Day 3: Legs (Quads, Hamstrings, Calves) sets vary based on which exercises that I do

I push the last set of each exercise to failure and generally keep it very heavy.

I train 4 days a week, so week 1 would be: Monday - Day 1
Tuesday - Day 2
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - Day 3
Friday - Day 1
Saturday - OFF
Sunday - OFF

Week 2 would start with Day 2
 
Dont listen to a thing that Milk tells you, J/k. He is giving you solid advice. You should try 3 day splits. Most don't cause they feel their not getting anything. Trick is like milk said terrorize shit when you step foot in the gym and get on the right split and you will love your rest days to grow. Great routines below what helps me is listening to your body and finding weak links then focus on them to get your #'s up on the big 4.

how many exercises do u do for each body part? and what exercises do u do?
