Would steroids help?

Hi new to the forum and first post! Ive been researching hgh and anabolics on the net the last few weeks and ran across this forum. I have been puzzled on whether steroids will help or do more harm to me? I'm a 38 year old male that has abused his body for many years drugs alcohol cigarettes yuck I know! Well anyways I don't do the drugs or drink no more and I just quit smoking 3 weeks ago That was tough but I'm determined. I started working out just with the weights I have at home a curling bar a weight bench. I really want to get in shape! would the steroids give me the boost i'm looking for?

Welcome to ology. I too have a history of drug and alcohol abuse as well as heavy smoking. I got sober over four years ago and began training heavily then and I have stuck with it. AAS are not what you need right now. You should join a gym and study on diet and training. Give it a few years before you consider juicing. Give your body a break!

I agree with MeatHead, 3 weeks into working out is nothing. You really do need to build a foundation first. You can make great gains naturally, even at your age during the first year of training.

Thanks I appreciate the advice . I just feel so sore after working out I was maybe hoping AAS would help me get past that point. I don't want to be a power lifter or body builder by no means at least not yet. I just want to cut a little weight and gain some strength back in this decrepit old body of mine. I guess I'm just looking for a wonder drug once again. Any helop or suggestions on helping me reach this goal would be appreciated..
Thanks
Fred

There's no "magic pill". A proper diet is your best bet. Steroids do not prevent soreness. And without a good diet and exercise program, steroids do absolutely nothing.

There is a reason people ask for stats when someone is considering taking steroids. Height, weight, age, body fat, years training and diet.

The reason is simple. Without paying your dues to get your body fat under control, learning over years how to properly train while building a solid foundation, and having the basic understanding the critical nature diets play in gaining mass.......YOU WOULD NOT BENEFIT AT ALL NO MATTER WHAT STEROID YOU TOOK.....you'd be wasting your time and money.

The great news for you is you have done what very few people are willing to do. You've quit a very unhealthy lifestyle and are moving towards a much healthier one. That's very hard to do and you deserve a ton of credit.

Now all you have to do is put in the work to actually get healthy. Don't look for short cuts or the easy way (that leads to trouble). When you do the right thing, put in the work, you'll build the body you want. You'll build your confidence and be proud of what you accomplished. As God knows it's not easy for anyone. But that's the point. It's not suppose to be easy.
