Would you date and have sex with someone who has HSV-2 or genital Herpes

I Googled it and found. Symptoms show up one to 30 days after having sex:

Small, painful blisters
Itching or burning before blisters appear
Blisters last one to three weeks
Blisters go away but you still have herpes -- blisters can come back. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak.

Hell no

chances are they wouldn't tell you anyways. Herpes can be hard to detect on you first night of wild drunken sex.

Clean sex for me, with a sexy wife half my age :)

Ninety-odd percent of the population are carriers of the herpes type one virus anyway. Many just don't ever get a blister/sore whatever you call it on their lip. It's very easy to catch. Sharing drink bottles, kissing etc.

The researchers estimate that 49 percent of women aged 15 to 39 will be infected with herpes simplex virus type 2 by 2025 if present trends continue. The associated medical costs would rise to $2.7 billion in 2025, from $1.8 billion in 2000.

The studies show that 25% of women are HSV2 positive. 1 in 5 men have it. That means guys that 1 out of 4 women that you have had sex with have genital herpes. You got lucky and may or may not have it. 80% of people who have it, do not know but can pass it on. There is only a 10% chance of a man to pass it onto a woman if they just abstain during outbreaks...4% from woman to man due to physical differences. If you use condoms it reduces it by 50%, If they are on Valtrex, it is reduced by 50% with out condoms. So, with Valtrex alone, your chance of getting it from a woman is 1-2%...a condom cuts that in half. Your chance of getting gential HSV2 herpes is greater to have sex with another (non tested partner), than to have sex with someone who knows they have it and how to control it. The rate of HSV 2 is growing at a huge rate, especially among people who do not consider themselves at risk...not multiple partners, upper income, and generally safe sex.

Hey guys, I do have a gf with hsv 2. I've been with her for 8 months, yet I still haven't been infected. This has been confirmed with blood tests.

Honestly it's a sacrifice you make for someone you care about. If they take valtrax there's a chance you may not catch it at all. It's a risk still, but then, so are steroids.

hell no no no don't do it

You'll never know exactly who has what disease ))) Without specific blood test you even could be sure that you haven't something. And moreover the majority of such diseases could be prevented with condoms. So I'l be afraid of sex with the person who undoubtly has Herpes

I have a friend (female) who has herpes type 2, down low, and she tells guys before she fucks but most of them don't use protection because she's also fixed lmao, to my amaze none of them have gotten it.
I guess there has to be a "break out" for it to be passed but don't just go by that, don't fucking chance it, one night I was all tore up and took her home and got realllllllly close to taking the risk and managed to just avoid it by getting some good head.

And her explanation of the symptoms, blisters bumps intense burning, when she would pee it hurt so bad it brought her to tears. sitting down hurt walking standing etc, So unless you're willing to deal with that every now and then, and the awfully cock blocking reality that you're infected with such a disease. Be my guest.
