this thread is a sticky at the top of the page and has numerous powerlifting links.
the inzer and metal wraps are both top notch imo . 12 inch wraps are too short for most people imo , diifferent companies offer diffreent lengths as options but 18-24 will work for most. longer versions are sometimes used by benchers lifting massive amounts of weight .

i use the 12'' convict pro when benching over anything over 300lbs. i'm coming near 400 and haven't had a problem with these yet.

The pro wrists straps are really stiff.

what do you bench?

I'm far from a power lifter, I just have terrible wrists, Iv'e broke both multiple times.

I had no idea what my max bench was, did it today 265. I guess not great but it is what it is.

Do any of you guys with heavy dl's (500+) count your PR using straps or do you consider your PR to be without them?

my best dead is 615 and i us.ed wraps. i think it counts anyway. to each is own i guess

I've only pulled 495 without straps...never tried to pull more without them.

Funny how this thread started out about wraps then smoothly transition onto straps. I use Inzer wraps, standard length.

FUCK no on the straps for deadlifting... work on your grip, in 3 weeks you should be able to pull 5+ without them.

I'd second not going with 12" straps, most of us have wrists over 6" so they wont even wrap twice - meaning so little support you may as well not bother I'd think.

Blah blah blah powerlifting. Chalk makes about 150 lbs of difference for me.

many whine that the longer straps are too tight and they dont need that much support . ive read all 327 pages of the official rule book for wrist wraps and nowhere does it say that you have to make them as tights as possible every lift lol . also the shorter wraps tend to wear out faster because the velcro does all the holding instead of the layers of wrap helping.
