~Yoga~

I have been thinking about Yoga for a while now. My brothers girlfiend lost 60lbs taking Yoga classes. She told me it would help me out a lot since I lift heavy weights. She said I will be more flexible, control my breathing better, lower my risk of injuries and a bunch of other stuff. I hurt my neck (pinched nerve and pull 2 muscles, shoulder and neck) a few months ago and it has never been the same, I also just found out that I have Carpel Tunnel syndrome!!! This has kept me from training. :crying:

What do you guys think about this? Should I give it a shot? What do you know or have heard of about Yoga?
 
I'm sure you will get a million opinions on this, but the only way you will know that it is for you is to give it a try. I've thought about it myself. Figured it might give me more flexibility so I can see what I'm doing when I inject my glutes.

Just signed my girl up for a christmas present. When I went up to the studio to buy the gift certificate I felt like a bull in the china shop. Incents burning, funky music playing and 255lbs of me in my sweats. Got some looks until they realized I was shopping for someone else.

Some hot babes in tight spandex and bare feet though. They made me take my shoes off too. Thank god it was before I went to the gym. Don't think the incents would have masked the odor of my sweaty socks.
 
i love when people say they lost weight doing yoga or xyz..I higlhy doubt it was the yoga but rather she changed her diet..

give it a whirl and let us know how it goes

Your right Blackbeard...she did change her diet but not completely. She still eats what she wants but also includes healthy foods as well. She is not a fan of Mcee D's though. Yoga did help some.

She isn't taking just the usual yoga lessons. The classes are taught in special studios that are really hot. The heat relaxes the muscles making them more flexible as you may already know.
