Hello everybody,

Ever since i can remember i have been really fatigued, quickly annoyed/irritated, brain fogs, unable to concentrate and my gains in the gym arent how they should be eventhough i dedicate myself 100% to this.
I did some research and found out this could lead to low test, so i went to the doctor.. well basicly he told me that it would ''fly over'' eventhough i said it didnt. I braught up the whole low testosterone thing and he basicly just laughed at me, he said it wasnt possible and wouldnt test me for it. I decided to get private bloodwork done and got the results back as 10.4nmo/l and T3 was at 2.2. I found a new doctor and showed him the results and told him my symptoms, he agreed to take more bloodwork and my testosterone came back at 12nmo/l, he said this was perfectly healthy. After trying to convince him that i totally didnt feel healthy, he send me to take more bloodwork which i am currently waiting on the results. we got to an agreement that if everything would look fine, he would send me to an endo.

Just wanted to let you guys know, any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I will keep you updated on what happens

Thanks

Unfortunately you're in for an uphill battle as many docs don't like to treat younger guys for low testosterone due to the fact you're still developing. Sadly, your 346.10ng/dL (most recent converted) labs are within range, even though you may feel like utter crap. Be sure to get your LH/FSH and estradiol/prolactin checked so you can at least get an idea what's going on. You may have something else upstream from your testes causing you to produce low amounts of testosterone, which may be treatable without committing to test shots for life.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you man. Hopefully everything works out in the end for you. :)

First of all thanks alot for replying. I guess but i think its definetly worth the try. By the way I took the tests within 2-3 hours of waking up. Through all the tests my diet has been good and i have had a high healthy fat intake. Wonder how crappy the levels would be if i did neither of those. But i guess for now we will see what happens.

Thanks alot!

Later in the day will provide lower test results, but dietary changes are less predictable. Sure, cutting back on dietary fats will lower your hormone levels, but how much and how soon is hard to tell. Yes, I know what you're getting at - but I would exhaust all alternatives before pushing for that needle and vial. ;)

Trust me the last thing i want is to be doing that for life, but it just takes low levels to be taken serious by any doctor as it seems. I guess for now all i can do is wait.

Sadly, that is the truth. Be patient, there are some hoops to jump through - but the end result is worth it. :)

Agreed. Be patient. It took nearly 2 years for me to finally get an Endo to see me and it was pretty much a personal favor by my family physician.

What helped me in the meantime looking for answers is do your best not to worry about it. For me, the more I thought about it the more trouble I had. By the end, the most serious symptoms for me were ones I couldn't not thing about. Libido when your hot girlfriend is trying to rev the engine and performance issues. At that point I was very persistent for an answer. But up until then, just beasting in the gym, focusing on dieting.. I have produced some of my best gains with Low T.

My suggestion would be to get referred to an Endo. It took me twice since the first endo refused to see me and referred me to a psychologist, but speak with an Endo and tell them you've been doing your own research and the last thing you want is testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Ask for alternatives such as Clomiphene Citrate. My Endo said "I hope it doesn't work for you but I do not have a problem letting you try it."

We all wish you the best in finding a solution but it could be a long journey ahead. Be prepared.

Thanks alot, it is really patethic that you had to struggle 2 years to get reffered. I have had this quite for a while now, got sick of being told that it would 'fly over'. I just want it fixed as soon as possible, i have patience dont get me wrong.. but you know what every day feels like so i dont have to tell you anything ;P. For now i will be waiting and if i dont get reffered i will get a third proffesional opinion, thats just how it is sadly. In the meantime i try to read alot on the subject and stay 100% dedicated to my healthy lifestyle. Hopefully soon enough i will be able to read your success story, once again thankyou and goodluck in the future.

I actually created a thread talking about my experience and my road to a better me. I was able to try Clomiphene Citrate and my Endo was only slightly iffy on letting me try it. He thought I was using anabolics and I told him I wasn't nor did I want testosterone.. I think that eased his mind.

Worse comes to worse, you could always order research Clomid if you couldn't get the script and wanted to try that route first. I would only use testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as a last resort.

Sigh, forgot my phone at home yesterday when the doctor was supposed to call about my results. Hes not working again till monday. Hopefully i will be reffered to an endo

Don't hope, do something.
Be adamant you want to see an endo.
Stay on him until he writes the referral.

Call around to the endo's and urologists in your area.
Some don't need referrals.

Great advice. I wish someone had told me that. If you are pretty good with your family physician or have a friend that is a doctor have them refer you. That's basically what I did. I'm off at college and went to a local physician who didn't help. Ended up calling my family doctor back home (180 miles away) and he referred me to an Endo. Had to go home to see him but I feel better so it was worth it!

Hey guys, just a quick update. The bloodwork my doctor insisted on taking came back ok, so my doctor agreed to reffer me to an endo. I will be called soon to make a appointment.

Why did the endo not want clomid to work for you?
what a dirt bag...jinxing the therapy before it even has a chance to do what it has to.
All to serve their personal interest and agenda.

Ok so i was supposed to be called friday, but didnt.. If i dont hear anything monday i guess i will contact them myself
