160 mg/week TRT with 250 i.u. 2 times per week HCG... sufficient?

I wanted to know if using the bare minimum of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) (250 i.u.) 2 times per week is enough to maintain fertility while on TRT?
Doc says take 400 i.u. 3 times per week....
I think it is a bit much...
I think it elevates my E2 too much...
I'm trying to minimize doses of Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and HCG.
How much do I need of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) per week to maintain fertility while on TRT?

There really is no correct/incorrect ratio between hCG and testosterone doses. Your goal with hCG is to use the least amount that works for you.

Why are you still using an AI? Have you considered DIM/Zinc/Copper? Where's your E2 at your current protocol?

0.25 mg E3D (twice per week)
I'd like to dump it. Been off and on it for years. Who knows what this stuff does in the long term.
I will see my labs soon and know where my E2 is at.

hMG is the opposite of hCG. Human Menopausal Gonadotropin that mimics FSH.

who prescribes this?
Is this suppressive ?
Is it commonly prescribed in NON testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) male's with low sperm count?
Never heard of this substance.

First off, were you diagnosed primary or secondary?

Either way your question is too individual to be answered properly.

About 50% of men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are still fertile. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) will increase your fertility as well and if you take a fertility test and it shows you are still having issues then you may have to use hCG and hMG in combination but this scenario is extremely rare.

I think Secondary...doc never said exactly.
LH was 4 IU/L FSH was 2 IU/L with 0.25 mg ADEX EOD...
T.T. was 265-291 ng/dl

With a reference range of 1-10 for LH and FSH I am assuming?

You were on the anastrozole while initially diagnosed and those labs were drawn with that?

Depending on how long you have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and whether you have used hCG during or not will make a difference too. I am sorry but I cannot advise you on anything but work with your doctor to accomplish your goals as he has all your records and can make a better deduction(hopefully)

From my position I cannot give anymore information or guidance in this matter.

Best of luck to you! :)

Yes those are the lab ranges for LH and FSH...
I was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 2.5 yrs...
Was on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) mono therapy from 25 y.o. to 29 y.o.
I went in to see the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic doc with Total T levels of 594 ng/dl and LH was 3 IU/L and FSH was 1 IU/L (LOW) at the time.
I used something the year before unfortunately which suppressed me.
My T.T. was ranging between 507-663 ng/dl in blood work before going in to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic doc.
He said the levels I had(594ng/dl) were not ideal for a 25 y.o.
I had severe sleep apnea and it was undiagnosed. He put me on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) mono therapy 350 i.u. 3 times per week.
It helped greatly.
It took my T.T. to 965 ng/dl after 8 weeks. The Adex was given to me to use while on the HCG.
4 years into the therapy. I did take breaks for short periods of time a couple times but Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) stopped raising my T past 519 ng/dl and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc told me to stay on it and use T shots to get my levels up in the upper range.
Some trials on my part just running ADEX EOD for brief periods of time(before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and OFF HCG) had my T.T. at 582 ng/dl and with LH at 5 IU/L and FSH 2 IU/L. So I could still produce some T on my own even after taking a break after years of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) therapy.
After being diagnosed with highly severe sleep apnea 2.5 years into my TRT...my family doc told me to try without the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and see how I do...
I was using a CPAP machine.
I stayed off everything for 16 months and on the ADEX 0.25 mg EOD and my T.T. was between 265-291 ng/dl
LH 4 IU/L FSH 2 IU/L
Free Testosterone is Low...below the normal range.
I'm not asking for advice...just your general opinion if I am ever going to recover my Natural T....

I did not use Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) during my 2.5 years of TRT...
I'm thinking this has caused the problems with me not recovering to at least 500 ng/dl even after 16 months off.
Had I known I had Severe Sleep Apnea which was robbing me of energy daily all these years...I could be functioning a little better at those mid range T levels I had.
I would have been on CPAP and things would be different.
I don't even think clomid would do anything now...
there must be damage done to my HPTA being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 2.5 yrs without HCG.
I used Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) toward the end of my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as I was coming off....not during!
The lab levels I posted were all with me on ADEX 0.25 mg EOD for the 16 months...
Zero improvement in T.T. no matter how much I dieted, supplemented, exercised.
I gained weight being off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) around 22 pounds....but lost 18 pounds of it...
still no improvement in T
