I am happy to see Ivan win a title, he is the greatest catcher that has ever put a uniform on. As for the Yankees, you cannot buy clutch players, just ask baltimore, LA, Atlanta, and Boston, because they all had jacked up payrolls in the last 10 years and won nothing. As far as the Yankess go, except for Jeter and Matsui, they don't have any clutch batters anymore. They have alot of guys who like to hit homeruns in the 7th when they are either up by five or down by five. I would take Tino, Pual, and Brosius back any day of the week, and you can have Soriano, and Giambi.

I am a yankee fan and give my compliments to the marlins.They are the better team this year and deserved it.I'm sorry but my yankees did not have it this year. They are a very good team,but this year the marlins were destined to win it.It doesn't matter how much payroll you have,if your team cannot produce at the right time,then you are not going to win.I've been living in Houston for 3 YRS and no matter where I go,there are YANKEE HATERS everywhere.
They constantly talk about yanks "BUYING" PLAYERS.Well here it goes:

soriano:got him very cheap from japan
clemens: noone wanted him,especially boston.

matsui: overbid for him
So please don't talk this stupid thing about buying players.Whatever team you like you know you'd like an owner that can get good players.Yes,steinbrenner is an ass,but an ass that wants to win.
Finally,i'd rather have the marlins win then have boston even go to the world series....or mets.

dude thats only 4 home grown players. can you name any more that played in the series on there current roster? i dont think so. yeah there from yuor fame system but they have no heart. except jeets he is the real deal. and posada as well he is clutch. but yankee (bandwagon) fans can kiss my ass. original new yourkers have the right to love there team. but all the other yankee fools from so cal or whatever can suck it. they are the same fans who bought tamp bay bucs jerseys this past january.

Well I live in Boston and am a huge Yankees fan....So I get to listen to all the stupid ass things that red soxs fans say.....like what you guys were mentioning......
1. They have a big payroll.......Yes they have a big payroll, and its 156 million not 180 as someone mentioned.
2. If Boston could spend that much, I guaran-god damn-tee you that they would be spending just as much, if not more.
3.I hear Yankees suck about 10 times a day on average....which really has no intelligence to that statement. As for a team that has not won one in 85 years....thats major suck-fest right there.....
3.a Its kind of sad how a team (Marlins) can win a world seriers......completely dismantle the whole team.....and make it back and win another one....all in there short 10 years of existance. Also with a 50 million dollar budget. *My hat goes off to the Marlins by the way*
