got 500 lbs for bench tonight -- not bad for someone that does not bench very often--

i warmed up with 225 --

315 x 10
405 x 10
500 x 5 -- 3 without help 2 with--

if i was after 1 rep sets-- i could have done 600lbs--

then did incline dumbells

120 x 10
130 x 10
150 x 8

dips 3 sets 15 reps

very wide flyes 2 sets 15 reps

thats was my chest workout for tonight

bi's were done afterwards

230 kg RESPECT. Just wondering how many times your bodyweght is that ?
its about the same:D , nah im just kidding but they dont call him house for nothing

outstanding bro..i am 35 lbs from fitting the 500 myself, but that is alot of weight to move..isnt it amazing as you climb up there the difference 5 pounds or 10 can make on a lift...

did you find it rough to jump that much in weight between sets...

and how does you chest routine look, or is most of your strength from tris lats back shoulders?

just curious..

east, i do alot of incline movements i rarely bench-- but will be doing it for a few weeks for a change of pace

i usually start out with 4 sets of incline barbell press,3 sets of incline dumbell , weighted dips then finish with flyes--

it was not that bad to jump that fast in weight either-- i was feeling good so once i started we just kept adding-- my goal is 600 lbs for 1 clean rep--

my goal now is 500...at my age and 215-220 i will be happy...i am going to be entering some bench comps here soon..

for not doing a ton of chest work, you got it made..i see 600 in you near future...

do you basically hit power moves like squats and deads..i hit them, not as i should and i was amazed how tose overall increased my bench...

east, i love squats and deads bro--- try doing them the same day:) -- one hell of a workout bro

House 1 what are your stats? Do you have a good strength to weight ratio? 500lbs is fucking awsome. My best ever is 355lbs when I was weighing in at 225lbs.

pipes, i am 284 lbs at present-- 5 ' 10 " tall-- i need to push 568 lbs to double my weight -- which i hope to do very soon - then on to 600 lbs

Keep puonding the wieghts and you'll be their no problem. You said you don;t do bench very often. Me either. I do much of my work with dumbbells on the stability ball. I find that after not benching for a while when I go back I'm much stronger. When you used dumbbells you strengthen many of the smaller stabalizing muscle that once strong enough can synergistically help to press more weight in the bench press motion. Do you train for strength or body building?

damn house, thats nuts. I just put up 405 for the first time today, I've got a long way to go
