500 lbs

Keep puonding the wieghts and you'll be their no problem. You said you don;t do bench very often. Me either. I do much of my work with dumbbells on the stability ball. I find that after not benching for a while when I go back I'm much stronger. When you used dumbbells you strengthen many of the smaller stabalizing muscle that once strong enough can synergistically help to press more weight in the bench press motion. Do you train for strength or body building?

we incorporate the ball aswell ! makes things interesting-- definitley gets alot of stabilizer muscles involved

damn house, thats nuts. I just put up 405 for the first time today, I've got a long way to go

ns, i would trade 500 lbs for your midsection anyday bro -- are you still doing your 5x5 -- i have been doing that for a bit now-- got some good strength gains-

switching things up though--time for a change

i warmed up with 225 --

315 x 10
405 x 10
500 x 5 -- 3 without help 2 with--

if i was after 1 rep sets-- i could have done 600lbs--

then did incline dumbells

120 x 10
130 x 10
150 x 8

dips 3 sets 15 reps

very wide flyes 2 sets 15 reps

thats was my chest workout for tonight

bi's were done afterwards

you need to be competing in powerlifting if you hittin close to 600 raw.

You should post a video of that set! 500lbs for 5 is massive... almost hard to believe.

Not to bust your balls, because I damn sure can't push 500 at all, but we have football guys weighing 210-215 pushing 450-500 for 5 reps. I gotta learn Don Sommer's secrets for getting these guys so strong so fast.

Not busting my balls at all bro... ;)

i'd be more impressed with a video of 500 for 5 reps.

I'd love to get you a vid of that, but I can't. Don't have a vid, don't know how to post it, and I also don't even have a camera to get you one. Form isn't really a concern for most of the guys though, they're just worried about what kind of weight they can throw up explosively, so it probably wouldn't be all that impressive to the powerlifting types anyway.

lol, no offense, but it's always funny when this happens. someone posts a pr, then someone else posts "cool. i know this guy who benches more."

....we gotta get this guy in a bench meet, dammit....

Seriously bro, you could do pretty well in the APF or IPA (non drug tested), if you wanted to. Takes a little getting used to the shirt, but a 700 shirted bench is not out of the realm of possibility for you.

For shirts, if you wanted to compete in the IPA or APF, the best you can get is the Karin's Double Denim. Costs $170, shipping included.

http://www.karinsxtremepower.com/catalog.html

These are all hand made by Karin, and she makes it custom fit to your measurements, so it will fit like a glove. Go to where it says "Karin's Info Page" at the top and it shows you all the measurements you need.

If I were you, I'd call her every week or so after you order and just ask how the shirt's coming. If you bug her, you'll get your shirt faster, lol. I got mine in 4 weeks and I didn't bug her. So bug her, and maybe 2-3 weeks lol.

To get the most out of the shirt, you really need to practice in it and learn it.

I don't know where in the US you are, but you should really try to get to a Metal Militia bench seminar. The main MM chapter is in NY, and there's a PA chapter near me. Those guys are the mac daddy's of benching. They'll hook you up, show you all you need to know about how to set up an arch, how to place your feet for maximum leg drive, etc.

Let me know if you need anything else bro.
