My girl got me one for christmas.... Anybody have any results with one of these?... I actually have good abs. She says she wants to help me take it to the next level/and watch me workout at home... hope this she didnt waste her money

what is it? I know there was one company that sold their electro stimulator ab belt on TV, they had to give refunds as a results of a class action lawsuit because they made BS claims

These things were once a huge marketing scam back in the 1990s. They are broad battery-operated bands that you wrap around your midsection (like the cummerbund with a tuxedo) then fasten it with velcro at the back. Then you press buttons on the front of it that activate different types of vibrating, pulsing, and intermittent shocking sensations that, according to the manufacturers, 'stimulate' the abdominal muscles and cause them to pop over time with regular use. They claim that wearing this belt can give results that are similar to getting on the floor and doing old fashioned crunches. They also claimed that the belt could help you spot reduce if you're fat and trying to slim down your belly. Total bullshit!!!!

Like pretty much all fitness equipment ads on TV, they had a whole bunch of late night infomercials featuring these belts and, of course, they used athletic men and women (who were well toned with cut up abs) to say that they got their midsection in shape like that because they wore the belt. The models looked good, the graphics looked very convincing, the belts weren't that expensive, and everybody wants a flatter, firmer midsection with a six pack, right? They were all the rage at one point. Don't remember whether it was class action lawsuits or a government agency ( or both) that forced them off the market for deceptive advertising after a while, but they very quickly disappeared after that.

Can't believe they're trying to comeback with this shit. It doesn't work.
