AB Workout

Burnout

Novice
I just bought a new piece of equipment called a VKR Stand for the followin:

Pull ups
Push ups
Dips
And unit for leg lifts for abs.

I also bought some black straps to hang from to do legs raises.

I am mainly concerned about working my abs.

Does anyone have links that will show proper techniques to work abs?

What about good ol' crunches and hanging leg raises? Never thought ab work should be fancier than that.

ablounge is the way to go baby!!!! nah jk...but try doing situps on a decline bench with a weight on your chest. this is some effective shit.

hold the weight behind your neck... that will work it much more im sure ;)

i've tried something like that the other day. i was doing my ab work. i usually lay flat on the ground, with my legs out straight. i put a db on my chest, and do sit ups without raising my legs off the ground. just the other day, i did them with 150lb db's on my chest. anyway, i had read an article talking about doing the exact same thing, but holding a bar behind your head. i thought, "that can't be too tough." well, lets just say i took a 25lb EZ curl bar (we have EZ curl bars that are bigger than normal) and held just that behind my head, WITH NO WEIGHT, JUST THE BAR. i could not get more than 6 inches or so off the ground.
