Good afternoon everyone, I'm about to start TRT and was hoping to get peoples general (or detailed) opinions about it. My general symptoms are low sex drive, erections aren't "diamond cutters", getting tired early. I seem to be dragging in training and pumps are nothing like they used to be. 51 years old next month. I posted more details about bloodwork in another post. Just wanted to see if people are really getting a lot out of TRT. Is it really changing their lives.

How has it helped you?

Would you recommend it?

Any negative side effects you were not aware of?

Thanks guys,

KC

You look far better in your picture than I do EVER lol. TRT won't help your erections study show ED drugs are far better at that and I agree 1000000%. Libido can be TRT linked.

I'm pretty dialed in if not high 100/mg E3d and .25 aded EOD and while I have more fullness in my muscles and feel better. I have a fair amount of stomach bloat.

Even bought 3J's package and to be honest wasn't impressed. When I sent a email about changing it I received no reply at all.

No sugar, no cheat meal, just veggies, and meat 6 times a day, add a few carbs no sugars, sweeteners, and make sure to measure and take pics weekly. I could have got that from any BB website. I was expecting something truly cutting edge!

I'm already on a diuretic for HB ;) if I take my calories real low 1900-2000 and practically no carbs I start to get lean, but the the second I have a cheat meal it's back to feeling bloated again.

I'm happy with TRT, but we will see as I'm due for bloodwork soon. I've said this before my favorite drug is Viagra my 2nd favorite is Test.

Lastly, overall I do feel a little more on edge and you do get a few pimples even with my Estardial well within range I still get them. Daily rubs with acne killer make them subside quickly, but they do appear definitely something TRT related since I never had that before.

Good luck!!

Increased strength-25% to 30% on weight lifting exercises. Increased stamina-more sets. Biking- can ride faster and further with less fatigue and climb hills much better. Slightly more visible muscle size. More muscle definition. Sex- orgasims much more intense. Better bone density- went from osteoporsis to osteopenia. Mood-possible slight improvement. Would you recommend it?

Yes, if it is really needed, but probably not for most young guys. I love it, but you have to do it for life because it permanently decreases your body's ability produce its own testosterone.

Any negative side effects you were not aware of?

My RBC count and hemocrit are increasing.

increased focus, energy, loss of fat and increased muscle mass and density. gels gave he crazy sexual desire, injections are way more controllable, less is better, high test can and will cause issues with blood, arteries and possible kidneys and liver

follow the orders, test often and get stable before you decide to play with roid levels

Get your SHBG checked

I have low SHBG and TRT is basically useless for me. This is common for guys with low SHBG (TRT not working/helping at all) so my 2 cents would be to get your SHBG checked and if its low (Like in the teens), just pass on the TRT.

Thanks for responding. I'm already pretty familiar with Cialis and love the stuff. Half a pill and I am good for a few days. But it does not help with my desire. I used to get a generic version and still have some but my supplier dried up. I'll start looking again soon. The Doctor asked if my morning erections were still present, and they certainly aren't hardwood any more. Unless I take Cialis the day before. At 20.00 a pill in Canada, I look for generics.

Are you injecting the Test, creams or gel?
Is your doc prescribing HCG?
Have you testicles shrank at your dose?

My diet is pretty crappy, and I've been very lucky with my metabolism, and being really active in sports, training most of my life. I need to clean it up. I've read good things about 3J on here, but my interests in food are very limited, so I work around the fact that I hate vegetables. LOL

I'll keep an eye on the acne. I've done a few "cycles" and was never affected by it.

Thanks again,

KC

That is an awesome recommendation. You had me at orgasms are more intense. LOL

So starting around 70 years old, do you wish you started earlier?

I'm wondering if crazy sexual desires are bad. I'm a bit of a pervert even without much sex drive. LOL

I'll keep that in mind. What can you do in your case to increase SHBG? I see that low SHBG can be caused by steroid use. I may be screwed here. My last cycle ended September 8, 2013 and PCT ended around October 20, 2013, so almost 5 months now. Hoping I am back to normal. SHBG is in my test so we'll see.

Thanks for the response,

I'm taking sub-q injections currently at 50mg e4d (about 90mg/week). A month or 2 ago I was on 60 mg e4d (about 105 mg/week). I can't say that I feel any difference.

I dropped the dose because I seem to metabilize test quite slowly. 60mg e4d gave me a trough of about 1100ng/dL, which seemed like too much.

Yes, I wish I had started 10 years ago.

70 mg E3D gives me a trough of 1268 ng/dl...lol
was using HCG 500 iu. E3D too though...lol

i was on TRT for 8 years before i played with AAS blast, but even at 200 mg a week my levels are super high, 2200 the next day and 1400 three days after injection, not safe levels for long term use, stay low as possible where you feel good and everything works, *****************************. use AI and dont try to get sky high it only causes greater issues with Estrogen and water retention that gives you High blood pressure

currently doing 60 mg twice a week

Yup me too. 60 mg here as well....
E3D though....so it comes to 600 mg/30 days.

At 70 mg E3D I was at 1268 ng/dl trough....lol (day of shot that was due...but before shot)
there's no need for that. It's not sustainable over the long term.
When I did my shots E7D at 160 mg a piece.
48 hours after shot I was 1055 ng/dl peak.
If I divided that shot in 2 and did 80 mg 2 times a week I'd be well over 1400 peak....
The body can absorb the smaller amounts of T much more efficiently and less aromatization.
Simply dividing the doses and taking E3D or 2 times a week allows you to take less of the drug and have higher T.

What are your options with low SHBG?

Correction: I thought I was injecting sub-q, but I am probably injecting IM. I use a half-inch needle on my inner thigh. Feeling the spot with muscle tensed, the muscle seems to be much closer to the surface than one-half inch. Also, half way in the needle meets more resistance and I have to make sure my muscle is relaxed.

I am now injecting 44mg E4D, equivalent to 11mg/day or 77 mg/week. That seems to keep me between 800 to 900 ng/dl. I liked 100 mg/week a little better, but doctor didn't. Hemocrit, PSA, and E2 were creeping up.

Where's E2 now?
