Just place the needle against your leg man and enjoy the slight pain 
Just enuf pressure, I go in real slow, let the needle do the work, you feel it goin through the skin layer (slight ouch) and then the fat layer, once your through them it just slides in with no feeling.
Oh yer, let the alcohol from the wipe dry before going in, cause that stings like feck
It is scary at first, for me it was an anti climax, after your first one you realise that it is not too bad.
