AIFM dosage, not too suppressive

Greetings and stuff, new member.

I read here from time to time when I can't get info from the usual circles, so I'm glad to finally join. Thanks for any advice.

First, a little background: I have suffered intense hair loss from the letro gyno reversal protocol some of you may have heard about (haven't checked to see if thats a sticky here). Obviously, i'm prone to MPB, but suppressing my estrogen really contributes to it.

Now I'm on 1.25 mg/day finasteride, which has produced modest regrowth already, after 2 months. The problem is I'm extemely gyno prone as well has MPB prone. I had to start gyno reversal after 8 days into my cycle!

So gyno is a major concern with propecia. I got AIFM because I thought it was a little weaker/safer. I only wanted to suppress estrogen maybe 10-20% to counter the effects of propecia. At one pump eod, and a dab of it in between, my estrogen must be down like 50%. I know this because my hair gets a bright orange hue when my estrogen is suppressed hardcore. It happened on letro just before all of it started falling out.

Anyway, to put an end to this loquacious thread, my question is:

how should I dose the AIFM such that it will keep my estrogen rather normal or slightly lower, and not run it into the ground like letro? I was thinking maybe a "dab" a day, meaning somewhere around a quarter/third pump?

Also, any anecdotal evidence related to what i'm trying to do would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

if you want to use a consistent measured dose that is lower than what the pump provided (200mcl). Use an insulin syringe (take the pump out and use the shipping cap that came with it as the top- so you can shake prior to each use).

try 5-10 iu's (50-100mcl)

but more importantly you should be using nizoral shampoo (anti-androgen), you can find the 2% online (1% is decent, but there is mixed evidence that 2% may be better- best to err on the side of possibly better effectiveness)

your hair gets bright orange when you have too much estrogen suppression? That may be true but its still funny as hell. Kinda like a walking estrogen thermometer.........LOLLOL
Seriously, i am glad to hear someone post with finasteride results. might need it one day.

Thanks for your informative response.

Also, I was curious...they say the ATD in AIFM is a suicidal inhibitor, and it seems to me that it would have a cumulative effect over a period of time since previous doses aren't detaching from the aromatase. Does it have the potential to be really suppressive even at a small dose? I wonder if adex or something would have been a better choice.

yes, its suicidal.

there is some cumulative effect, though this is more related to reduction of SHBG and increases in testosterone (from reduced estrogenic effects on hypothalamic release of LH).

actually its a rather potent aromatase inhibitor with high affinity, but generally for most people higher doses are needed to acheive the kind of effects that you are getting.

reasons why your response may be so strong-
1. very permeable skin
2. relatively low aromatase
3. aromatase variant with higher affinity
4. dysregulation of aromatase production by androgenic influence (secondary as listed above)- this would be the most uncommon possibility- though still possible.

combination of some or all 4 with very minimal #4 is also a possibility.
