Anabolics and Blood Pressure

Its is agreed that some, if not most, anabolics cause an increase in blood pressure, but how do they do this? Is it due to an increased heartbeat, an increase in the force of the heartbeat (i.e. a stronger beat), or do they narrow the arteries and blood vessels ?

water retention indeed. even without the sauce, if you eat enough soduim you will retain water which will inevitably cause higher blood pressure.

light anabolics like primo, Winstrol (winny), Anavar (var) will not spike blood pressure like the strong anabolics like anadrol and test.

I would guess that the high amount of androgens would worsen the lipid profile too...which would in turn cause more plaque build up and higher blood pressure.
