I recently found I may be a candidate for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), however i was curious if anyone with any experience with it knows what type of costs are related with this treatment and if insurance will cover any of the expense. Also, I'm 35, is that normally to young to get on because from what i understand, once u start u have to stay on for life?? And, secondally, i heard it cause prostate cancer? thats scary. any input would be great, thanks.

Take some proscar with it 1/4 tab a day....keeps the prostate cancer away.

Afraid you have been given some bad info if you actually think that Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) (bringing your testosterone levels back to normal values) in any way causes prostate cancer.

I have a friend who was just prescribed a trt. He gets one shot of test cyp every other week, 200mg per shot. The bottle cost him $120 from the pharmacy. He does have to go in every so often and have his prostate checked though, I think they're looking more for an enlarged prostate then anything. I also have another friend where his doc put him on andro cream but don't know how much that os costing him.

no, i dont mind u asking. And, yes, i have done 3 cycles in the last 2 years and my last two consisted of 12 weeks of test e and decca, followed by clomid. Its been approximately 10 weeks or so since my last injection and my test levels were a 72, when normal is 270 to 800. So, i'm not sure if these cycles suppressed my natural test for good or if i just need a few months to rebound back. But, i for sure am more tired and i have no sex drive. it sucks, not sure what to do?

TRT should definitely work for you. Shit if it were me and you had the cash for it I would take a little dose of test like 250mg's every 10 days with 3iu's of HGH a day. I am not recommending this for you just saying thats what I would do. Im coming up on 33 taken 6 or 7 cycles you got me wondering if this might happen to me. I dont care if it does. Ill just cycle and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) while off cycle. I heard that cream is a joke. Hope whatever route you choose it works out for you. Script for Test isn't a bad thing, lol. Like I said it could be a hell of a lot worse.

I have a friend in FL who started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at 38 but he also takes HGH.

Exactly how did you run your PCT? doses? duration?

thanks for the input, also, if u don;t mind me asking how low was your test levels when it was prescribed to you? And, was low due to AAS use or just nataurally low?

My insurance dosent cover any of the cost, bloodwork was $300 + $210 every 10 weeks for the meds. My bloodwork came back as 178 nanograms on a scale of 300-900 if I remember correctly. I am 31 and my test was crazy low for my age.

Do you it was low from AAS use or just naturally low...and if it was from AAS use how long did u wait get tested from your last cycle?

Mine was naturally low, hadn't touched aas before my apt but had been training and researching for several years.
