Anyone solved their libido issues?

Have you had libido issues in the past and managed to solve them? If so, what worked for you in your situation? And what do you think were your contributing factor/s to the lack of libido.

Obviously there are many reasons for having libido issues in the first place, so this question is pretty broad. But I'm interested to hear if you've had success in your particular situation.

Cheers.

I had almost no libido prior to starting TRT. I just didn't have the energy to want to have sex. I was too tired all the time. Getting on TRT fixed that pretty quickly. My libido and energy came roaring back withing 2-3 weeks.

Ditto for me. My libido is very high now. It's actually probably a normal libido, but I didn't have much of one with low t.

Found a cute skinny girlfriend after the wife morphed into stereotypical wife role...hornier than ever ;)

Actually, same story as Megatron, no energy or desire to have sex, and no give a shit, to care about not having sex....not a good place to be, and I was there for years. Took about a month for me and my initial TRT program to start making a difference, and horniness is definitely up there, hell some days, not often thankfully, but somedays I'm like angry horney and would try to fuck a fly if nobody was around LOL. Seems strange because it's been soo many years I forgot what it was like to REALLY want to tap that ass.

I thought TRT was going to help mine. Mine has been on and off for some time now. When I am on, I'm on. But it has not been the cure for my inconsistent libido, as I am up over 1000 for total T. But I read on here somewhere, I can't seem to find the post, that GABA has a lot to do with libido, so I purchased this from the vitaminshoppe yesterday. Somehow it works synergistic-ally with dopamine. This and something called DMAE. This is only my second day, so I'll let you know if things improve.

I feel for you as TRT has never done a thing for my libido, either. In fact it was slightly better when I had low T. I have low SHBG though, which is a bit unusual. I hope you fair better than myself.

Same here. It was better when I had low T. Go figure!

As with others, my libido prior to TRT had all but disappeared. However while on TRT, I would describe my libido as 'inconsistent'. There have been times where it has been through the roof, but have also felt like it was very low. My aim is to find a consistent middle ground!

TRT / HCG / Libido

So, I've been on -150mg of test e every 4 days for 2 1/2 months.
-1/2 a proviron/day
-AI Letrozole 5 weeks into cycle at 0.6 mg usually every 6 days

*
I also started HCG at 7 weeks into use. I took an HCG shot once every 3 days. These have been the doses of my 8 shots over the past 24 days of HCG
2300iu, 1500, 1000, 800, 550, 450, 350, 250, 150iu.

I was initially going to only do a 7 week cycle of test but have decided to stay on the test as TRT.

My issue is that initially the HCG brought my nads back up to size but not anymore.
I tried a high dose and also low doses.
Erections r also not as strong as the first 8 weeks...

I will be dropping the test to 125 but every 3 days this week and will have to stop the proviron as well this week as Ive run out and can't get more.

So my issue is how to get my nads back up to size and sex drive back up to where it was a couple weeks ago, which was amazing.
My concern is that I overdid the HCG the past 24 days (The 1st heavy dose shot was actually a dosing mistake and I was trying to take 1500iu but took 2500iu by mistake...)
p.s. As I usually only do a very short 5-7week cycle each year of test, proviron,GH. This is my 1st foray into something long term on a therapeutic level that can help with my sex-drive, energy and overall happiness.

Thanks for any input anyone may have :)

Cheers

You should start your own thread instead of hijacking this one about Libido.

libido prior to trt was garbage. I was 24 years old which is stupid young for trt, but it's my own fault. anyways, at 24 my libido should have been pretty high, especially considering i have a hot girlfriend who loves sex all day every day. it was sad that she wanted it more than me and I turned her down more times than not.

anyways, my second week into trt i started getting consistent morning wood, which eventually lead to frequent morning sex. another 2 weeks and i'm literally tearing her clothes off the second i walk in the door. it's rediculous how much it helped me.

not all libido problems are from low T though....

For a high libido, I would say the following would be necessary:

1) A bioavailable T over 350 in a ref range of 110-575 (I would worry about that more than total T).
2) An E2 in the 20-25 range (not too low or too high).
3) Low levels of prolactin, which can be lowered by taking Caber/Dostinex (.25mg 1x week) or Bromocriptine (more side effects).
4) Adequate levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which can be increased by taking a MAO-B inhibitor like Seligine, or by taking dopamine precursors like L-tyrosine or L-Dopa.
5) Low stress, adequate sleep, and a good diet/nutrition.
6) Don't drink too much alcohol (no more than 2 drinks 2-3 nights a week).
7) Don't rub one out too often, but then again lack of sex decreases natural T production, so keep a fine balance.
8) Don't look at porn (it desensitizes you to actual stimulus).
9) Lastly, the more you worry about libido, the worse it gets...

Thanks for info.

sadly,it hasnt helped mine much...when i first started last August after my third shot my libido went through the roof. it lasted for about a week and ive never been able to recapture that magic ):

What I have found that really boost my libido is melanotin II. I inject 15 iu's, and two hours later, boner city for a good 4 hours. Makes me wonder why this increases a non existent libido, its very puzzling. It's certainly not low testosterone that causing it!

You guys are starting to worry me. I just started TRT a week ago, but I really thought I had found the Holy Grail.

I guess I should wait another month or so. I'm feeling great right now though. Libido is back for the first time in years.

All the TRT docs and TRT clinics market it as the way to get your libido back and cure your ED (if you have that). But after being on this board for 3 years as well as several others I see a LOT of guys for which TRT does very little to nothing to help libido. I am not trying to be a downer here, just cut through some of the TRT hype.

That said, I truly hope you stay feeling great like you are now!

Yes, my initial excitement has been tempered somewhat by spending a few hours on this board. Time will tell I guess.

Ducbase, it does have that effect on a lot of men, so if you have already experienced this, I wouldn't worry about it. What is your AI regiment like if you don't mind my asking.
