so i've spent about the last 2 years being aimlessly pushed around the NHS with shoulder problems.

it now turns out my shoulders sit forward so i need to work on posture
i have a tendon impingement
and the "substance" of my tendon has changed

the consultant says that this usually doesn't occur until late 30's/40s in men (im 22) and has told me i need to stop going to the gym and lifting, im alright too go and just do cardio (lool)

i don't really know what i'm asking but this just seems a bit anti-gym (you know the kinds). i was just wondering if any body has had any of the above or knows what i'm talking about and for someone to basically tell me this isn't the end for me. its all got me rather depressed.

thanks
guys

I would keep lifting but keep it light for a while. and maybe even look into peptides like tb500 or ghrp/mod grf combos to help strengthen or heal. It sounds silly he would say dont lift at all.... I would go get a second opinion IMO

Juiced gave the perfect advice. Get a second opinion. When you're speaking about substance change are you referring to pressure and inflammation? Tendonitis? If so then Juiced also gave the best advice peptides help heal tendonitis. Posture correction come with discipline and rehabilitation. I wouldn't quit lifting but I'd speak to a specialist and possibly seek steroid shots or oral prednisone. Prednisone isn't good for muscle gain but let's be honest not lifting is a hell of a lot worse for muscle atrophy. If you have a legitimate tendon issue that a specialist or a second dr also says don't lift then I advice you not to. Tendons heal over time but if you tear them you'll never be the same. Either way I'd add peptides asap.
