imo dips arent worse than bench they are much better. it puts less stress on shoulders if you are leaning a bit forward and it gives you i much Better shape than bench , you feel the chest more when you do dips CORRECTLY

same can be said about the bench when done correctly bench gives you mass both wreck havoc on yoru shoulders is my opinion. People still bench for a reason and have not stopped, but there other ways to build a bigger chest.
