David Boston...Holy Shit...

Thats how we grow them in H-Town!!!!!!

He got in trouble last year by the NFL for steroids. Who cares if he is or isn't. Looks great either way. And he is making millions. I'm jealous!!!!

Boston at one time reportedlly wheighed in at 265 pounds and was still able to run a sub 4.4 forty. If you play db like I do youd probably piss yourself if he came up to the line and you had to jam him.

I watched Boston play at that big weight. I live in New york but I have the football package for DirecTV and watched ALOT of Bengal and Charger games cause I have Chad Johnson, LT2, Boston AND Gates on my fantasy team.
Boston didn't lose a once of speed at all. But I didn't see how any of that 260 helped him out msucle db's. He was just too damn stiff. That extra muscle did not translate to usuable strength from what I saw, nor was he any harder to tackle.

Well he is big for sure for a reciever but does he perform as well as the elite recievers .....no .Who cares Im sure everyone or most athletes come across it sometimes in there career .This media thing is blowing up since balco .

having a couple million dollars to throw around can make it a lot easier to schedule your life around eating and training though. Genetics is what gets them through high school and college, but drugs and state-of-the-art training is what makes them elite in the pros.

He is definitely on Steroids. You can't get that big without them(and I know I'll have at least one guy chime in saying that you can:rolleyes: ).

Probably bc it's the truth. You couldn't be more wrong with a statement like that. He may very well be on steroids but it is far from impossible to look like that and be natural. I see it everyday at the gym. There is a group of guys there that compete in natural bb competitions. They won't take steroids on religious grounds so they decided to go that route. It's not easy to do, but it is possible.

I used to talk to Steve Courson who played for Pittsburgh in the '70's. He said that the official policy in the NFL on Steroids, is that as long as you don't talk about it, you won't get caught. If you mention the term even once in passing, that is when you tend to wind up positive on a piss test. It's probably the same in the WWE. DENY DENY DENY. In the NFL---DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE! He also said that there is no way that you could play the postitons that have signifigant contact without being on steroids. Naturally, your body could never recover in time for next weeks game.
keep in mind that he's black...they can look at weights and get ripped!african-americans & greeks simply have freaky ginetics.

Do any of them look like David Boston?

Here's an exerpt from the link to the article you mentioned bro:

After the start of his new program, David weighed 209 pounds, with 10 percent body fat. By the end, David had increased his bodyweight to 242 pounds and reduced his body fat to six percent, a net gain of 39 pounds of lean muscle. In the process David also hoisted some heavy weights, including a 315 power clean, a 475 squat and a 425 bench press.

"Gaining 39 pounds of muscle mass in the off-season without the use of steroids may seem impossible", says Poliquin. "You must consider that David never seriously trained the large muscle groups such as the glutes and hamstrings, and that his diet was high in refined sugars and consisted of a lot of fast foods. I would never recommend steroids to any athlete - to do so would be professional suicide. Further, the NFL does a great job of screening for banned substances.
"

To lose that much BF%, while at the same time GAINING 40 pounds bro???? He would have to be more than a genetic freak. He'd have to be a cyborg. Plus, the reason Polquin gives for the gain is ludicrous..."hamstring & glute weight"? Come on. Again, he is the man either way. I'm just stating point of view is all.

He lost BF% BECAUSE he gained weight.
Think about it, if he is 200lbs and has 10% BF, that means he has 20lbs of fat. Now if he gains 50lbs of muscle but remains at 20lbs fat he will have a BF of 8%. But has he lost fat? No. He just gained relatively more muscle than fat.

NFL lineman take a minumim of 1g test/week just to maintain their bodyweight during the seaon. The NFL's testing program is a joke.

The classic: "A friend of mine's little brother knows a guy that works out with ___________ and he says that the guy told him that he uses __g/wk along with everyone else in his sport."

That is totally incorrect. I grew up with Tom Ackerman who played offensive line for the Saints, Titans and Raiders in the 90's, up til his retirement in 02. He said there is almost NO WAY to juice and not get caught in the NFL today. The testing is random, and sooner or later everyone gets tested.

Tom was a natural 6'4" 285 and didn't need juice to play. It was genetics. I'm still friends with Tom and his younger brother TJ and they're both just big guys. No juicing.

You're talking about a guy who played in the NFL more than 30 years ago, back when AS was LEGAL in the US, and comparing him to today's standards. Things have changed in 30 years, bro.
