Depressed

Hey guys,

New to the forum. Long story short, I used steroids for six years off and on. Stopped using in 2010 and gradually began feeling moody, low libido, low motivation, and suicidal occasionally. I had no clue what was wrong with me for about two years - just thought I was severely depressed due to personal issues. After hours of research, I determined it was almost certainly low T. I don't have medical insurance, but it has to be that. I can't go on living like this any longer. What are my options? I assume I have to resume doing small cycles to regain some semblance of my former self. I really didn't want to use anymore, which is why I stopped. It was fine in my youth, but as I got older it didn't seem nearly as important. But if I have to use again to feel like not hanging myself, that's what I'll do.

Thanks in advance.

I think you should have posted this in the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum.

I would definitely get some medical insurance either by getting a new job that provides it or just paying out of pocket. It seems like your in some urgent need of it. When your finally able to see a doctor, he'll run some blood tests on you and if your eligible, you'll get some prescription T. Also, I would look into getting some anti-depression/anxiety meds too but your doctor will know what to do. Believe me, it's not worth living shitty everyday, get proactive and take care of your issues asap. Good Luck...

I think before you take TRT into your own hands, which would definitely be cheaper without insurance, you should get bloodwork done to find out. Private MD Labs has a female hormone panel for $50 and then you will know for sure if you have low t or not.

Talk to Catholic Charites or other mental health places in the are. They will take ur income and do a sliding fee scale for services and prescriptions.

Yeah look for low income clinics and such. Def try to see a doctor and don't take measures into your own hands without knowing anything.

Yeah bro if your sure your numbers are below 200 then start your own TRT...You dont have to cycle bud just 200-250mg/wk of test...perferable 1/2cc on monday and 1/2 cc on friday to keep your blood levels stable..

Take back control

Brother, been on HRT for well over 12 years with and without insurance. Going off after even just a couple of years, in my experience, even with great pct, you're going to feel that way. It's often cheaper to buy when not buying through pharmacy and just start out low, use an estrogen blocker, and listen to your body. You'll know when uou figure out what you need weekly. In my experience, you don't need to spend $100's in blood work. Just be smart and be safe! Live and believe!

Guys thanks for all the help and advice. I am definitely going to be proactive and learn from all of you. Low t is ruining my life. But I'm happy knowing this site is a resource to start my recovery. I'm excited to know I won't feel this way forever.
