Does creatine loose its effectiveness??

Well now i think Bodyfx2 is an idiot - The body can get creatine in 2 ways!!

1.) Through the intake of skeletal muscle of animals (eating beef, pork, fish, ect.)

2.) If creatine intake from the above sources does not meet the bodys needs it can synthesis creatine from the Amino Acids: Arginine, Glycine, Methionine.

I don't know what the heck bodyfx was talking about - He's right it doesn't shut down creatine production.

The only thing it would do is stop the body from sythesizing creatine from amino acids since the dietary intake is met from supplementation.

What are you talking about...? That was copied from my mailbox...
Either way.. As long as we're quoting Mayhem "Experts" as the end all be all. Here's how they feel about you and your "opinions".

In-Human "The Experts" : I will never laugh at anyones physique, but this kids ego is bigger then he will ever be, knowledge, well thats a whole different story...

troponin "The Experts" : Why are we even tolerating this kid? He takes shots at competitive members who are actually here to help people. They're here helping others learn, and this jerkoff has to try to bash them. What help has he offered?

~SwoleCat~ "The Experts": Banned as he should have been. What a waste of bandwidth.

so just out of curiousity, the consensus on the original question is what? It does or doesnt lose its effectiveness. Id liek to hear from one of the mods.

I am not a moderator but the answer is no it does not lose its effectiveness if it is kept dry. You can keep creatine powder almost forever, it may pick up other flavors over time but it should not lose its effectiveness.

thats not what i meant, i meant in the sense of taking it for a long time, does it lose its effectiveness over prolonged usage... and what was the consensus on that

Yes! That's why you have to cycle creatine.

Here's mine:
4weeks on
1st week loading(depending on what kind of creatine) - 5g of creatine 4times a day
2-4th week - Approx. 10-15g a day.

Stop taking creatine for 2weeks then return to the cycle again.

And if you keep using creatine for more than a month, you'll stop seeing gains and eventually no gains.
