Back & Triceps

Rack Deads 135x10/135x10/315x5/405x5/405x5/405x2/405x5
Lat Pulldown 160x10/160x10/160x10
Seated Rows 180x10/180x10/180x10
Decline Skulls SS W/ French Presses 65x10,10/85x10,10/95x7,7
Overhead Ext 100x10/100x10/100x10
Cable Pressdown 50x10/50x10/50x10
Supinated pressdown 35x10/35x10/35x10

My first time doing rack deads, im not sure if i did them right but i set the pins a little bit lower than my knees. I dont think they are really that much easier than pulling off the floor, but i guess thats just bc i've never done them. my pulldowns went up 10 lbs and the reps stayed the same. My seated rows stayed at 180 instead of varying from set to set like i did last week. My overhead ext's went up from 95s to 100s and i was still able to keep the reps. the first set of my cable pressdowns went up from 40 to 50 and my supinated one's stayed the same. Cant complain.

Good luck with the rack deads...i'm not much of a fan to be honest though.

can you elaborate? because to tell you the truth, i thought i'd like them alot more than i did. I was only doing this bc alotta people said that you shouldnt pull off the floor every week, but i might just go back to doing that

I did them a few times but never really got anywhere with them. I just to pulling from the floor and if i'm felling burned, i'll skip deads for a week and do something like cleans instead. Cleans would be like my idea of a speed exercise for deads.

i couldn't handle the 1-6 method, plus i usually lift alone which isnt very practical when your doing max lifts. so im gonna go back to the good ole 5x5. switch it around a bit from my original layout in the first post of this journal. i think the only thing im going to change is instead of shoulders and back, im going to pair them each with a smaller muscle such as biceps or triceps. im also going to throw in some cable work at the end of everything to beef up the volume a bit.
pitty i really looked forward too seeing a full 4 weeks worth of this.

oh well i have put up my propsal for 8 weeks on a basterized version of this.

Incline DBs 90x10/90x10/90x6

Cable Flys ( Differnt Machine) 30x10/30x10/30x10
Standing Calf Raises (Smith) 270x12/270x12/270x12
More Calf Work
Various AB work.

I was able to go up 5 pounds in my bench and kept all my reps. Went up from 85s to 90s for incline and still kept decent reps. Went from 45s to 50s for flys and still kept in my rep range as well. The cable flys I cant really say, bc i was using a free motion machine rather than a traditional cable machine. I usually do 60 but i had to drop it to 30 and it felt rather heavy. who knows... My calf and ab work i dont even really count most of the time. All in all good workout though.

Double Bicep Curl 50x10/50x10/50x10

Was able to hit my Milt Dbs at 95s this week. It was pretty hard though so I'm not sure I'm going to go to 100s next week, but well see how it goes. My side lats stayed the same and have been stuck at 35 for quite some time now. Any suggestion on that would be appreciated. I hit a pretty solid three sets on my Hammer Strength at 190 instead of 185 like i did the previous week, but i plan to stay at that weight. My preacher bench got all fucked up because i went too heavy. the 105 felt real light, so i hit an extra 3 reps on my second set and then decided to go to 115. it was too much of a jump and i couldn't hit my reps for shit. I'm gonna start at 110 next week and see how that goes. That in turn fucked my hammer's up because my bi's were shot. I was however, still able to go up 5 pounds in my double bi's from 45 to 50. I am happy with this workout.
