Hey I bought IP products a little while ago and it came in some bs plastic bottles so it has to be filtered/sterilized and put into vials. I don't know the details about doing this at all
all I was told was to get a sterilized vial and a whatman filter, but um how does the filter work exactly and once it gets filtered where should I have the solution go into, etc

fil·ter n.

A porous material through which a liquid or gas is passed in order to separate the fluid from suspended particulate matter.

How does a filter work? In Leymans terms, a filter gets out all the crap that may be contained in a solution. In this case, little 'floaties' in your AAS.

All you have to do is get a Whatman .45u syringe filter and a big enough vial (sterile) to hold how much you have. Draw the solution out of the plastic bottle, attach filter to syringe, then push it through into the sterile vial. If you want to bake it (which I would), put vial(s) in the oven on 275 for an hour. Make sure you vent the vial with a 25g pin to release pressure. Done!!

ok thanks a lot bro, I had no idea that you could attach the filter right to the syringe. Now do I fully extend out the syringe before I put the liquid thru the filter or do I extend it gradually as the liquid fills up the syringe. Also how many ml's can a whatman filter handle? I have 30ml in total that needs to be filtered.

For 30ml's you just need one filter. You can get them here:

Here is a pic to give you an idea of how it works:

Just draw the liquid up into your syringe, and then screw it onto the filter, and slowly push it through into the sterile vial.

wow you cleared up all the confusion for me, thanks a lot bro.
2 quick questions, how slow do I have to push the syringe and how big should the gauge be. I heard people use 18 and some use 22... I heard 22 is better because you don't want to make a big hole and especially when you heat it after you don't want the hole to be a permanent mark.

oh yea 1 more thing, when I heat it after on the stove top, should I put the heat on high, medium, low ?? and how long should I heat it for.... This whole process is being done because I purchased a few IP oils and I want to refilter it and heat it up... IP has a lot of BA which is will always give me a painful injection, so do you think if I heat it up some of the BA will go away ( I want to take away as much BA from it safely)?

Just dont push too hard, or you can blow out the filter. I've done it, so use your judgemetn and be patient.

Put it in the oven on a cookie sheet IMO.

BA I believe boils over 400ºF so you aren't going to be getting any of that out of there. You want 250-275ºF for 30-45 minutes.

damn that sucks I was sort of happy that if I boiled it some of the BA would go away.. well tell me this so I can get an estimate, based on how much oil you have in the syringe how long does it take to filter it with a .45 ??

can 60 mls work for also 1 filter ???

Whatman says the 25mm filters are good for up to 100ml's. If you are filtering something with a lot of particulate in it, the filters will probably clog way before 100ml's.
