Myself, I'd ice and heat with a heating pad on it; you've injected foreign bodies into that space so they need to break down. Ice will reduce the tissue swelling, heat will encourage absorption/breakdown of the foreign matter.

@Whatarep: I'd try what ocean Rhino suggested. Heating to increase the blood flow to speed up the absorption/breakdown of the hormone injected. Then, ice to reduce the swelling/redness due to inflammation.
