FIND the lawyer you want to use NOW. Have a sit down with him/her (which is free) and discuss whats going on. There may very well be a time limit on how long police are allowed to take to charge you, i dont know. Did you know if your charged with a misdemeaner and you hide for 1 year without being arrested they cant arrest you or bring you to trial anymore? Tricks of the trade my man. The lawyer will tell you 100% what there going to charge you with and what he can get it dropped down to. when you ARE charged, your lawyer already knows whats going on and it's just that much easier for him/her. Your lawyer might even have some pull in the police department that came to your house and can dispense of the case before it even happens.

Dude, at 2 grams of test use a week, that less than a one year supply for yourself.
 
Get an attorney and don't talk to the cops and move out and stop talking to you mother she needs to be held accountable for her actions. She has put a permanent scar on your life. An good atorny will get everything you said to the cops thrown out. Hopefully you can get pbj and diversion and Classes. you better get on PCt and get be on top of you life school, work church ...get it straight.


The fact that she broke a lock to get these will play into what the police can do.
You had a reasonable expatiation of privacy the police couldn't have opened that without a warrant for the case

exactly.Get an attorney and stop talking to both your mom and LE.
your 20 years old hopeful with no priors this will all be probation if you dont help them connected the dots.
They will ask where did you get the raw and come at you with scare tactics of the max penalty's but hold tight lip and let you lawyer handle all the questions.
Word of advice get a PAID lawyer dont go with the public pretender they will try to give at the hearing let the judge know you plan on retaining your own lawyer this really matters a paid lawyer will actually do work and fight for you a public defender chances are you wont get a good one but by law all criminal lawyers have to do some public work and most likely will use you as a baganing chip for a good deal with there paid client.

The fuck bro what mom would do that shit??!! My mother would have punched me in the face or just asked me why I am doing this. But thats all bro silent treatment is key and no public defender I spent 6 months in juvi mom got a lawyer I was out the next week all charges dropped. I was not even at the scene of the crime lol
 
i would not worry about getting a lawyer till you know for sure your charged with anything and when and if you are, again say nothing and let the lawyer speak for you in court. It's not like you will spend a night in jail or anything... they will more then likely call you and come to the station where they will process you and let you out on your own recognizance -meaning agreeing that you will show up in court on the prescribed date, which could be months down the road... I would not be overly worried about it... but be prepared for the worse if so.
 
Keep calling different lawyers to bro because alot of them WILL take payments... If you have a car or motorcycle or anything of value you might need to put a lean on the title or something. The most important thing is getting this off your record in my opinion. I have been turned down for descent jobs before because I have a misdemeanor assualt... And thats sad as hell but thats what employers do nowadays.

Like I said tell them nothing... it's what you decide in the end as to what you want to tell your lawyer and then HE will decide based on what he or she knows as to what not to say or not to say and he will based it on the full disclosure that the crown has to had over to your lawyer so he can make his defense.
 
I edited my advice,,, i realize this is what happens when dum ass kids get hold of gear. We all know he is still a lil too young to be using, and i my opinion he deserves whatever he gets. I am sorry I have to be the one to bring up more bad news, but here it is:

*When you apply for student loans and fill out your FAFSA(the federal student aid form)They ask if you have ever been convicted of a drug charge. If you have been, you are ineliligable for loans or grants.

This is why having a lawyer is going to be important, because if its possible to avoid a drug charge.

Since you are still on your parents insurance, I would go honest with them and have them admit you to a "rehab" facility. Do the bullshit, 30 days later you are "tested" clean

This will get them onboard for your defense, because all the fees and lawyers are going to cost you a lot of money.

The reason for the rehab is because oftentimes charges are dropped when people get into rehab, no one has been hurt, you are going to stupid meetings, you found Jesus....

then move the fuck out of your parents life and
 
if its the same as up here. Misdemeaner or felony as long as a conviction remains on record.
You want to aim for a conditional or absolute discharge.
