High BP?

What are the signs of high blood pressure? I've been getting bad headaches on and off today. My head feels like someone is crushing it. I'm currently on my first cycle, test only. I'm also taking a-dex.

What type of test are you doing?
What are your dosages?

When I first injected prop, I had a bad headache, felt weak, pretty much felt like shit for the first couple of days but by 3rd injection I was cool

i dont think your BP will rise insanly from test dude. drink more water, that causes headachs for most. also tell us where it hurts ie/ back or sides??? but try drinking a ton of water while on. serious.

Actually testosterone will raise blood pressure, sometimes quite dramatically. This is because of water retention, although in most cases taking an anti-aromatase will help.

As for symptoms of high b/p, there usually aren't any, that's why it is called "the silent killer". If you are at all concerned, get it checked. I actually think it is a great idea to spend a little bit of cash and buy a home testing machine, then you can monitor it all the time and avoid any problems.

All true but an anti-e to combat water retention or a diuretic and test will actually aid in lowering Bp because it relaxes the the arteries and vessels thus the heart does not work as hard to pump blood. This is why test is often given to congestive heart failure patients. Headaches can be an indecation of hbp but not necessarily so.

I'm on enanthate 500mg/week. This is my fifth week on. I am taking Arimidex. I'm gonna get it checked today. I have a flu also, maybe that's whats causing the headaches.

Take an anti-aromatase such as liquidex.

This will prevent water retention and an increase in BP.

however, I dont think you headache is from the test.
if it is only today, you may just have a head ache.

If it continues I might be concerned.

I take almost 3g's of test and I dont get head aches.

Go the grocery store or walmart or something and test your bp yourself...

That's an easy way to find out if you're high or not.

:)

Test will definitely increase one's blood pressure. I had extremely high blood pressure while on a Cypionate/D-bol cycle a long time ago. My weightlifting instructor back in college was very concerned and told me to have it checked out. Which I did, but I just kept going on with the cycle regardless. My face was intensley red during squats, but I was 19 and determined to get as big as possible, so I just pushed on.

Your BP will return to normal after your cycle, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but be careful bro!

IMO....that's some real bad advice.......... "not to worry about it".

You can do some serious damage to yourself in a very short time if you are in the hypertensive range and continue on without bring it down, I know this for a fact.

I wasn't meaning to not check it out. I just think that while on a cycle, esp. w/ Test, it is normal to have higher blood pressure. I'm 36 years old and I first started using anabolics at age 18. I'm in excellent shape and condition with normal blood pressure, but while on a cycle including Test of any ester, your blood pressure will be elevated which is expected and quite normal due to the compound being used. I truly think that you will be fine but as I mentioned earlier, be careful and cautious!

:)

PS - My beginner cycle was D-bol by itself and my BP was within the normal range during the whole cycle. I didn't have a problem with BP until I combined D-bol with Test. Maybe Test was not the sole culprit but the D-bol/Test combo may have been. Anyways, in my case, it's likely that Test had a negative effect on my BP.

Sorry.....but you are still missing the point here. Elevated b/p in the hypertensive range (>140/90) is dangerous and can cause you serious problems, even if only for a couple months when you are on a cycle. There is nothing normal about this. You have to monitor it and take steps to keep it under control. There are no two ways about this !!

StoneCold, what steps would you suggest for him to take? What if his doctor recommends some kind of blood pressure medication? Is it wise to take a blood pressure drug while on a cycle? Would there be any bad drug interactions when combined with AAS's?

Just wondering if you know anything about this.

I'll post a link to a thread that will help you understand why I might seem overly concerned with this topic.

As far as interactions, there are none that I am aware of. I have been on meds for over a year now, an ace inhibitor as well as a beta blocker and have continued cycling with no problems.

Josey.....please have a look at this link and you'll see what I am talking about.

This is especially true if you already have a family history of heart problems as I do.
I am 32 and have a running history of high BP. You have got to start prevention early before any permenant damage can occur.

Thanks for posting your expierences SC, it has helped me alot!!

I took your advice and read the above link. Thanks for educating me on the subject matter. Now I know where you're coming from! You've had an actual very serious experience with BP problems, no wonder you jumped over my blow it off advice above. I will be more careful replying to the fine bros on this site next time. Health is too serious to take lightly.

Thanks again StoneCold!

I'm in the same boat:D .

I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks Josey, StoneCold, Rail, and everyone. I went the doctor and my bp was normal. I just have a flu and that's why I am feeling warm and stuffy.
