i would not say that dogs cannot detect gear, even if sealed in a vial. rather, i would say that officially they are not trained to do such things. for the most part they are trained to detect bombs or drugs, like coke heroin meth and marijuana. if you train a dog to detect too many things it will make that dog less effective.

Problem with dogs detecting gear is that it is brand dependant. Sust doesn't smell like Deca, or even sust from other companies. When I said the dogs sniff the rest I meant for drugs in general, not for AAS.
